Polynesian plasma televisions?

Dear my fellow WDWMagic members,

I remember reading somewhere that plasma tv's are being put into Polynesian Resort rooms. However, I also remember reading that the particular renovation will not be finished until the beginning of 2006 (correct me if I'm wrong). That being said, could someone tell me whether or not plasma tv's have, in fact, been put in "Hawaii", the concierge hut? Thank you.

I hope they run an HD or digital feed otherwise the picture quality will be horrible.

If it's LCD unless they're smaller and very expensive ones the picture will be :hurl: anyway.

I didn't think they were LCD or Plasma, I thought they were just plain old flat screen tv's (meaning a regular tv, just without a curved screen). I don't think it's anything special that you'd want to have affect your decision for where you want to stay.

They are including a 32" flat panel tv. no word if it's plasma or LCD. According to Tikiman2001, Hawaii will be down for renovation from September 17 to October 11 2005. But he says these dates are likely to slip with construction delays. Also according to him, Poly will have no conciere service while Hawaii is down and guests are being redirected other resorts.

I can't imagine they would give the Grand Floridian a rehab since it's a "relatively" new resort (IE - meaning I can remember when it was built :lol: ), unlike the Polynesian and Contemporary which are older than I am and desperately needed a new look.

I believe the Contemp is getting them as well. I actually like the new CR room, they will actually be contemporary once they are finish renovating.
