Polynesian Luau HELP

We got last minute reservations for the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian Resort, and the only seats available were in section 3... Is this bad? Will we still enjoy the show?

We have seen this show twice. Interesting though, they never told us what "section" we'd be in either time when making the ADR or checking in before the show. The show is fun though. The pineapple bread is yummy too. The last time we went was Sept 06 and from what I recall, there isn't really a bad seat in the house. The first time we were there we sat up front, and actually, it's wasn't a great place to sit. People come up and stand right in front of you when their children are learning the hula. In fact, DH said that he was tired of taking pictures of "butts" so he put the camera away for a while.:)

This year they changed the billing for the dinner shows. There are now various categories of seating. If you're using DDP you won't be seated in Category 1 seats.

I am not familiar with how the Luau is set up, but most dinner shows, the closer you are to the show, the more likely you'll become a participant...

Just found this at AllEarsNet.com:

Category 1 is located in the lower level, in the center and nearest the stage so you will be as close to the performers as possible. Category 2 offers tables in the lower level that are located on either the left or right side of the stage OR upper level tables that are located directly behind the Category 1 seating. All of these seats will give you and your family a great view of the entire stage area and you won't miss a thing!
Category 3 offers tables in the lower level that are located to the extreme far right or left of the stage, OR the majority of the upper level tables. You will still have a good view of the stage and be able to enjoy all of the excitement of the authentic Polynesian dancing.
Discounts are sometimes available so inquire for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members and Disney Visa Card Holders... you never know!
Disney Dining Plan: The Dining Plan can be used for the Spirit of Aloha, for Categories 2 and 3 seating only. TWO table service credits will be deducted for these shows.
Hope that helps!
