I have a lagoon view room booked at the Poly in June. Are there balconies on the second floor in Hawai longhouse? Does either the ground floor or upper floors offer a better view of fireworks, electric water parade or the castle?

In the concerige building, I believe the second floor does not have balconies. I would say the 3rd floor gives you a better view of fireworks, but the first floor would give you a better view of the water pagent. I would pick the first floor, just because you can leave right from your room to go to a park w/ out waiting for elevators and then you just have to walk up one floor to the concierge lounge.

You can see the water pageant fine from the third floor as well. Make sure you use the concierge planning desk for your priority seating as well. They were able to secure our Princess breakfast on the date and time we requested. I did not need to make one phone call.

3rd floor has a great view of magic kingdom fireworks and the water pageant. Do note that part of the 3rd floor is the smoking section(used to be the whole floor). This, however, has not been an issue as I've never smelled smoke inside the building. Be warned that some rooms lagoon view give you a GREAT view of some trees just a few feet away, and not much else past that.

Was just there in December, for my Honeymoon, we were on the third floor, directly looking out at the castle everyday. Took some amazing photos of Wishes and the water pageant. Definitely worth getting the third floor!

Second floor rooms do not have balconies, but do have a good view of fireworks and electrical water pageant.

In the odd event that you are unable to view the fireworks or water parade from your room, the view from the concierge lounge is spectacular! Another benefit to watching from the lounge is all of the wonderful desserts and cordials you can consume while watching:slurp:.

A week or so before your arrival date, call Concierge and request that they assign you a room. I always have AKL Concierge do this for me, and it works out well.

Your view of fireworks is no different from the ground level and in fact all levels have good views of the castle, fireworks and electric water pageant. I would point out that the 3rd floor has some rooms that the view is completely blocked due to palm tree tops being at the same level. Also remember with ground level rooms you have an open patio to walk from your room right out to the beach. Second floors do not have a balcony but they still have the big sliding glass door that opens to a railing.
