Polynesian Bus from Resort or TTC?

Hello, it will be my first trip staying at the Polynesian resort and I'm curious to know people's experiences on using the buses from the resort?

I have had fair/poor wait times when using the buses from the Polynesian in the past, just from using them when eating at Ohana, Kona Cafe, etc.

I'm curious to know if people have had better luck on bus waiting times if I was to walk over to the Transportation and Ticket Center and wait for a Studios, Downtown Disney, or Animal Kingdom bus there?

I can't speak from experience to vote one way or the other, but I can say that there is no bus from the TTC to Downtown Disney...

When we stayed at the Poly, we were in Tahiti which is close to the TTC. We never used the Poly bus and almost always used the TTC bus to AK or HS. We never had a long wait and always had a seat. We used the Poly bus when we went to DTD and I don't remember having to wait long but I'm pretty sure we shared a bus with at least one other resort.

Thank you both for the info, I'm planning on requesting the Tahiti building anyway, so I will probably take advantage of the TTC and use the Polynesian bus for DTD. Thanks!

We didn't have much trouble with the Poly buses- we only had one really long wait last trip and that was the bus coming back from AK to the resort. We waited and waited and finally just hopped on the TTC bus and walked. I will say we tried to use the TTC as much as possible though... it's just so close and convenient. But that's one of the many nice things about the Poly... lots of transportation options!

Snap, stayed in Tahiti, always used TTC buses, but if you are going to DTD or Typhoon Lagoon use the resort bus (found this out the hard way! - waited at the TTC for 40 mins! It was never gonna arrive!) Never waited long for the others.

Always stay at the Tokela. It's split halfway between the Great Ceremonial House (Monorail to MK) and the TTC. We use the TTC to catch the monorail to EPCOT and sometimes then the boat to HS. I admit though that we use the bus to HS as well. The trip last year seemed to have better bus times than the previous trip. I don't know what drives the bus schedules though. Seems to be hit or miss as to wait times.

I just got back from the Contemporary last week (sigh, it was too fast of a week) and the buses stop first at the Contemporary and then stop at the Polynesian. Since the Contemporary is the first bus stop, we always had a seat on the bus. This unfortunately was not the case for those we picked up at the Polynesian. So if you are close to the TTC, it might be worth considering walking over to catch a HS or AK bus. And as others have said, there is no DTD bus from the TTC; learned that the hard way as well. But just walked to the Polynesian and caught it there.
