If you had to chose between those 2 Resorts which one would you pick? I am asking incase my family & I are unable to stay at the Contemporary on a future trip to WDW & those are 2 places that I would like to stay at.

I'd stay at the Polynesian only if MK were my Disney park of choice.

Which it is not b/c it is always super crowded and gets more and more frustrating to manei\uver through with each passing year.

Having said that, I would select BoardWalk b/c it provides access to two of MY favorite parks--Epcot and MGM--by both super convenient walkways and boats. We spend most of our time at these theme parks so it is natural for us to stay in the Epcot Resorts location.

It really boils down to which parks you will be at most. I'm only at MK no more than 4 times per vacation, but can easily be at World Showcase each day!! Or early mornings at MGM.

The only part of either of those two resorts that I didn't like was having to go outside to get to the restaurants. They both offer deluxe accomodations and are each beautiful. If you like the MK the best then go for the Poly. Its on the monorail and right at the TTC. If you like EPCOT better then stay at the Boardwalk...its a nice little walk to the International Gateway.

It all depends on if you prefer MK or Epcot. I think Boardwalk would be SO fun to stay at, but I'm addicted to being close to MK so I haven't tried an Epcot resort.

The Boardwalk has a lot of stuff going on all the time. The Polynesian doesn't really, but it has that great view of the Magic Kingdom and that super magical feeling.

If I had to this would be a very tough decision for my family & I. We like the Polynesian because of the Monorail access, the 24 hr snack shop, the atmosphere & it's close to the Contemporary because I go there for Friday night Pin Trading. However I think the Boardwalk is a very unique place to stay, my family & I have always stayed in the Magic Kingdom area & could be nice to stay in a new area & if we could have a room facing the Boardwalk I would love to wake up to that.

The Poly just emits this warm feeling when you are there. Eventhough I prefer Epcot and MGM over MK.....the atmosphere at the Poly is incredible.

.... ing the fireworks and the [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Electric Water Pageant from the shores of the Poly

Pros and cons to each - Personally, I think the grounds and overall atmosphere at the Polynesian are more enjoyable. However, the Boardwalk offers a variety of activites/games/eateries. As someone else had mentioned, the proximity to either Magic Kingdom or Epcot might be a deciding factor, depending on how much tie you plan on spending at each theme park.
