I thought we had a Poly thread here but couldn’t find it. Anyway, for those who are interested I thought I’d post this info to start us off. As points charts become available we can link to them.

On the DVC website, the PVB now has the following room types listed.

* There are no points charts yet for the Tower rooms. *

Tower Duo Studio (sleeps 2): Standard, Preferred, Theme Park
Deluxe Studio (sleeps 5): Standard, Lake
Tower Deluxe Studio (sleeps 4): Standard, Preferred, Theme Park
Tower 1 Bedroom (sleeps 5): Standard, Preferred, Theme Park
Tower 2 Bedroom (sleeps 9): Theme Park
Tower 2 Bedroom Lock-off (sleeps 9): Standard, Preferred, Theme Park
Tower 2 Bedroom Penthouse (sleeps 8): Preferred, Theme Park
Bungalow (sleeps 8)

I am guessing the points will be like Riviera...but ya know, more!
I am curious how many DVC people will want to shell out for it when the old rooms are still an option. I realize these will be larger(in some cases) and have laundry and kitchens, but I just feel the points will be prohibitive. What's worse, is if it works like Kidani and Jambo, those buying into it will have first dibs on those old rooms, which means my Poly days might be over.

Do we have the number of rooms for each category in tower? It sounds like it's very possible that they're liberal with what is considered a preferred view. I've hoped for whole parking lot side to be standard (like Riviera) but heard that much of that side may be preferred with only the lower floor parking lot side as standard. That'd be too much of an overcorrection to Riviera. Hoping it's not true!

Thats generous calling it parking lot. I'd more readily identify it as "monorail voyeur" which may or may not have a preferred view.

Any ideas when points will be announced and/or the tower will open to points bookings?

I would want to say once they go on sale but with existing owners having access and there being less than 5 months till they open, I’m not so certain. Also there are 4 other resorts currently being sold, so I’m not sure they want to dilute the customer pool even further just yet.

My guess is once they announce a sale date, the points charts will be released about a week before sales start.
