poly or cont. for my anniversary

My husband and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary at Disney this December.
He told me we could stay at the monrail resorts, and I cant decide between the Poly
or the Cont. I have two kids ages 8 and 6 who love to swim. If it is warm enough.
The pool at the poly looks so neat! Although staying in the tower sounds great, too.

I wanted to get some opinions as to where and why we should stay ?

Is the monorail loud coming through the contemporary? is the arcade as big and
great as they said at the contemp?
What about the pools ? which one is better?

PS. IN response to the GF I dont want to
stay there it is too fancy for my taste.
thanks

Yeah...I agree... Jay and I stayed at the GF for our first month anniversary and loved it, right, hunny? ;-)

If you can´t stay there, then stay at the Poly... a lot more romantic than Contemporary. I think the kids will love it too! You can go one night to the Luau, and another one to my favorite restaurant: Ohana´s while you watch the fireworks from there.

I don´t know about the arcade, but what´s the problem? you can take the monorail and be at the Contemporary in five minutes! :)

Yes my little sugar lips! We had alot of good memories at GF and other places as well. But like what my love said if u cant stay there stay at the poly. U got the monorail to use. So u can just hop over to the other hotels if you like. :)

I've stayed at both, and would go to whichever will give you more bang for the buck. If you can't get a tower room facing the park at the Contemporary, I would opt for the Poly (I think)

You can't hear the monorail in your room.

You can walk to the MK from the Contemp. Someone mentioned that the launches between the Poly & MK are not operating...that would be a drawback for me.

The Contemp has added a waterslide to one of it's pools; my children don't care about the landscaping as much as I do.

My children don't care for the luau, so the Contemp has a better food choice for them.

I enjoy strolling the grounds at the Poly more, and you can walk to the TTC.

If you plan on spending most of your time at MK, I would opt for Contemp.

Again, I would go with the most reasonably priced for the amenities I want. I'm facing the same dilemma myself!!!(for our 25th)
