We moved our Spring Break trip to Fall Break. We booked the Grand Floridian, but since then rooms at The Contemporary have opened. So now we are staying there...which is fine; just really wanted The Polynesian. Does anyone seem to think Disney is not releasing all rooms for the fall currently? Or am I living in an altered dream state and need to just be happy with The Contemporary again?

I would not be surprised if a lot of people had the same idea and are rebooking for later dates, so inventory might be low across the board. Contemporary ain't bad though!
Totally agree - and I feel like a brat complaining about it. We stayed there last year, so I just wanted to try somewhere different. But for sure not a bad second option

I totally understand, and keep checking things probably will open up. Especially if an opening date is set, some people will cancel fall ressies and jump on it...but that's a big IF. Also any rooms at Boardwalk or Beach Club, could be a nice change. I have to recommend Animal Kingdom Lodge too....its a really different experience if up for trying something different.Totally agree - and I feel like a brat complaining about it. Hopefully we will get to those at some point. But while my children are young (3 and 5), a double stroller is just toooooo easy on a monrail!!

Just curious why you decided to leave the GF? It’s my favorite BY FAR!! I feel it generally gets a bad reputation on forums.
Well, I was actually fine to stay there. But my sister doesn’t like the Grand at all. She said she feels like she can’t be loud? We stayed there on my last trip before I had a baby, so truthfully it’s been about 7 years. I was fine to try it again, but she preferred Contemporary

I have stayed at GF once and Contemporary once. I would choose the GF if it was an adult trip. If you have younger kids, CR is usually active and pretty loud. Just not the biggest fan of the pool scene.
We got into the Poly! We are staying one night Club Level, and got two rooms (one Standard View and one Lagoon View) for the rest of the trip. Now I need Disney to re-open
