We are a family of 4. Kids are 7 and 5. We've stayed at standard rooms at AoA in the past, and we really enjoy the resort. We love the pools, the food courts, and the transportation. We are planning for a 7 night trip next summer, and trying to decide between a family suite at AoA or a deluxe studio at the Poly. We spend a lot of time at MK, so we're leaning towards the Poly, but not 100% sure yet. Any suggestions?

My cousin loves AoA but I would vote Poly for the monorail (or boat to MK) and the food-tonga toast and dole whips! We try to make Ohana the last dinner of our trip and Capt Cooks for quick serve. All the renovations should be well complete by next summer. The resort is so well themed but kids may prefer an animation theme to tropical paradise? Both would be fab.

Poly without hesitation or even giving it a second thought, especially if the price is similar. Nothing wrong with AoA, and the theming is great, but it is two different experiences in just about every way.

Once the children get older, you'll want more space (says the guy with 4 teenagers :D). However, at ages 7 and 5, it's still not awkward to sleep in the same room together. Since you intend to "spend a lot of time at MK", I think you'll appreciate the convenience of any Monorail Resort.

However, please keep in mind the price and size differences. For the second half of July, a suite at AOA costs $472/night (565 sq. ft.) while a Standard View room at the Poly starts at $543/night (404 sq. ft.).
