Hi everyone. We have a 8 am reservation at BOG, but we have to check in at the poly first. I know that we have to use the buses, but how early should we be at the poly to make sure we make it in time for our reservation?
Monorail doesn't open till 830 am according to front desk at poly.I'd think taking the monorail would be faster!
You will not find bus transportation to MK from the Poly unless the monorail is down....as in broken down or completely out of service.Monorail doesn't open till 830 am according to front desk at poly.
well I'm not trying to rush. I'm just trying to make sure that we make our reservation on time. I know that the buses run at 7 but since we've never been to wdw before I'm not sure how busy check in will be or how long the wait for the bus will be.You should base this on how you and your party normally move around but we normally plan on 1/2 hour for check in, I'd give it another hour so hour and a half before "should" do it. Will vary by party but be at the front desk between 6:00-6:30. It could be quicker but why rush??
that's what i'm afraid of. we will be staying off property the night before but the poly is still a good 30 minutes away from our original location. The kids are really going to hate me that morning....We had never had a morning ADR before and we had one for 10:30am at BOG in early April, we left your hotel and drove to MK and got to the MK at 10 am(when the MK opened that day) and ended up being over an hour late for our breakfast ADR... We asked if we could still get in and found out the breakfast kitchen was closed but they right away asked us if we wanted lunch instead. We did and loved it once again so that was nice. Basically be sure to give yourself lots of time, we never do rope drop because of the mad rush so thinking an hour from the hotel to BOG was not smart lol.
Just so everyone knows we didn't complain to Disney or ask for anything free, it was our fault we were late, Disney just was Disney and offered lunch even though we were late (I still feel bad lol...).
A taxi would be of no use to the OP since the taxi stand for MK is at the TTC; you can walk to the TTC from the Polynesian.Instead of worrying, we just order a taxi the night before. I know some say this is extreme but I am A big believer of peace of mind on vacation!
If you are at the Poly by 6:45 am you should have plenty of time to make your BOG ADR. Ask when you check in what the best mode of transport is, boat or bus. The Poly boat dock is about a 5 minute walk from the check in desk, and the boat will go directly to the MK. The boat will be operating that early since the monorail isn't. (We ran into this issue last summer.) It is only about a 5 minute boat ride across the lagoon.Hi everyone. We have a 8 am reservation at BOG, but we have to check in at the poly first. Thank you so much for the info. When I spoke to the front desk they didn't mention anything about the boat launch. If you are at the Poly by 6:45 am you should have plenty of time to make your BOG ADR. A bus may be running as well due to the late opening of the monorail. Remember the monorail closure affects 3 resorts, and a lot of those guests have early ADRs in the MK, so Disney will make sure you get there!
Just wondering but is check in usually busy that early in the morning? If you are at the Poly by 6:45 am you should have plenty of time to make your BOG ADR.
