Poll are great. More polls, more polls, more polls. I must have
my opinion known, but first I need to know what choices I
have for my opinion.

wand or hat

Honestly, it seems like people just like to complain about anything that they can. I mean what is really wrong with the wand or the hat. They are very creative ideas from some of the most creative people that work for WDW. Granite that the hat might block the Chinese theater but how cares. The hat makes for a much better backdrop for a picture than the theater. I mean go to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State><st1:place>California</st1:place></st1:State> if you want to see the theater. You people that say that thing are just "nailed up pieces of wood" are crazy. All you do is want to criticize everything you can. When you are in a position to make decisions how to alter your attractions in the billion dollar parks that you own then you can criticize what they do. Otherwise please stop knocking everything that they do.

Maybe that is why I am the Evil Emperor...<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

I love the wand.
I think the wand is the greatest addition ever to park enhancement.
May the wand stay forever.

Thank you for that great post!

I don't have a problem with the wand or the hat. Both are creative additions and both are popular with the general guest.

I'm going to be in the minority, again, but I like them both.

You may be in the minority around here with the "I hate change" crowd, but with general park guests, you would be in the majority.

im dissapointed that you dont have the evil laugh after your post as before

i dont complain about everything, i dont complain hardly at all. but when someone starts a poll asking a question, giving an opinion about "the guestion' isnt complaining in my book. it an opinion and in my opinion, the wand distracts from the geosphere and basically looks like a hunk of steel with sequins from a tacky prom dress extented from a mickey cutout hand that some poor soul did with a jig-saw............ and as for the hat......havent seen in person since it went up, no opinion.

hahhhaaahahahah

You may think that both the wand at epcot and the hat at mgm may be an eye soar but which one do you think is lesser of an eye soar.

Neither of them make my eyes soar, my eyes tend to stay firmly planted in their sockets at all times. I do think the wand is more artistic and pleasing to the eye, so it is less of an eyesore.

wand or hat

wannabe@dis...if you hate change then why do you continue to go to the parks. They are always changing. With the addition of everest that everyone is so excited about does that mean that you hate that too. I mean they are changing the park for the better. I mean if there was no change then we would be postion on the original thread for some time now.

sinister laugh!!!~~~~

PLAIN AND SIMPLE: For all of you knocking those who don't like them, it's a matter of preference and taste. That's that.

Zurg: the reasons why people may not like them are listed throughout this thread and others. I hope you consider them just as I consider your posts.

If the wand looks tacky or the hat disrupts a view that was seen before, those are not necessarily the feelings of people who hate change. I bet many of them could create something new (change) that might even look better than what was there originally in their taste (change).

A good example would be those liking the hat (change) but would rather see it in a different position. But to blanket everyone as "I hate everything Disney does" is just ridiculous. Each item should be fairly considered individually.

Go ahead and blanket me as a "I hate change" guy. Even though I have clearly stated in the past that the wand is nice temporarily but my personal feelings hold that it should be removed eventually.

And by golly, let's CHANGE the Epcot plaza while we're at it. ;)

I honestly think that Disney should allow people into the parks one nite to demolish both piece by piece. But I have to say the Hat. I do hate the wand eaqually the same. but the hat just destroys the theme of the park. when you step into the gates you dont see a hollywood boulevard. you see a giant symbol that ruins the effect.(what where they thinking)

But we could always cover the wand with a giant tarp until that can come down too!

I think you totally misread my post! I love to see changes and additions to the parks. I believe they HAVE to continually change so as to keep the "general" visitors coming to the parks.

I agreed with your post ealier.

So far the hat looks to the less of the eye soar. But how long will it take to take the wand down?

OK, I guess my subtle hint above wasn't enough. It's spelled EYESORE! Like a sore spot. "Soar" means to fly through the air. "Sore" means it hurts. Are your eyes flying through the air when you see the hat, or does it make them hurt! :hammer:
