first.. I hate you. second you burn in hades for this blasphemy.

I would say big thunder mountain, because its the least Disney. In my opinion you could pick it up.. put it in six flags, silver dollar city or knots and it would feel like it belonged and they could have created it. The others just feel like something only Disney would build.

I voted for Splash. Part is because my brain can't classify it as a classic attraction. It didn't exist/hadn't opened for my first 8-9 trips to WDW, so it's still newer in my mind and not part of the Disney nostalgia my brain conjures up when I think of trips as a kid.

Beyond that, while there are aspects I enjoy, because it involves getting wet and often has broken features, it's one we sometimes skip...especially if it's a cooler weather trip. Which is another good point in this selection...a lot of people skip it if it's chilly outside...making it something that's not going to help manage crowd flows/distribution at certain busy times. i.e. the space might be put to better use with something that's a strong crowd draw 365 days of the year.

This poll is a bit of a Sophie's Choice. Which of your loved ones would you sacrifice to save the rest? THE OP IS EVIL! lol

It hurts me to see so much dislike for Small World and Jungle Cruise, though. Thank goodness only two people so far have proven to be certifiably insane and picked Haunted Mansion.

So in case you are curious, the OP voted Jungle Cruise. AK made it expendable and dated, DL still has it, and it's too much land to devote to an attraction dependent on the lameness of jokes. The funny thing is, I actually don't hate JC at all and I really like the new restaurant it spawned but a choice had to be made.

The idea for this thread was inspired by:

a) The Unpopular Opinion thread

b) My guilt of previously thinking Jungle Cruise might be expendable and hoping I wasn't the only one

c) It's almost Halloween season and this board needed a poll that was a little darker

Also, I purposefully left off TSI and CoP because I didnt think their popularity was in the same echelon as those listed.

A couple of these rides can probably be moved (I’m looking at you very intently IASW) to parks that better support them. In reference to the poll though, I can only image Pirates leaving forever and Adventure Land not completely changing, whereas every other ride being eliminated would fundamentally change the land (except IASW and Haunted Mansion), so it has my vote.

This really was difficult though. It really came down to which had to go to keep the rest.

This is like deciding which of your dogs you want taken out back and shot. None are good choices. I picked Jungle Cruise only because there is a lot of room to put other things there. But it not only is an original WDW ride it is also an original Disneyland 1955 ride. No good choices here.

I can't bring myself to vote on this one. I probably would lean more towards Jungle Cruise or It's a Small World if I absolutely had to. But I love both of those attractions almost just as much as the others. The rest are just way too iconic to even think about touching or removing. And even though Pirates at the MK is a total joke, it's still Pirates.
