Since a lot of people keep mentioning water rides, first I have to say that I kind of groan over the suggestion of a new rapids ride. Despite different themings, I've never been on one that really impressed me much as being anything other than a simple and, by nature, a not very detailed ride that gets you really wet.
Kali River Rapids has some neat details. So does Grizzly River Run at DCA. But the truth is, both are boring in comparison to something like Splash Mountain.
But all the recent suggestions of doing Disney's more obscure movies (like "Love Bug") got me thinking about a recent one that I really liked that for some reason Disney pushed into obscurity.
"The Emperor's New Groove."
The way they decided to animate the pyramid castle with a water fall coming out of it screams "Here's WDW's new Flume Ride!" And, although it's a movie set in South or Central America (they never really specify where), they might be able to pull it off as an attraction in AK (isn't there an extraordinary amount of animals that come from South America? More than Australia, I'd bet). Or they can put it into Epcot WS as part of the Mexico Pavillion, replacing the ancient, dated, never-been-very-impressive "El Rio Del Tiempo."
