Surely WoL will be reborn soon - that is just an abomination, totally unacceptable. Having a shuttered attraction in plain site for multiple years is just unbelievable in my book.
I think TDO is perfectly content with having WoL for a large event structure.

If anything, TDO wants to extent special events, so as to spread crowds throughout the year.

Hey, twenty years ago you went to EPCOT for fabulous rides and amazing foods in themed environments. Today you go to EPCOT for shuttered rides and food presented in temporary stalls.

Unfortunately, Epcot is going through the proverbial mid-life crisis - thinks it looks like it did when it was younger, but its actually losing its hair and getting a belly.

Friends who work at Imagination have told me that Imagineers have been walking around with blueprints on occasion. That doesn't set a time frame, but it's a good clue. :)

I miss WoL every time I walk past the old building. Then I remember that it wasn't really awesome and that it didn't really attract the crowds that it should have, partially due to the building's location. Would I like the building to be used for some awesome new ride? Of course. Do I want WoL back? No.

No idea, but I would LOVE to see a new country!

New country for EPCOT !!!

EC, Ecuador, the country code for Ecuador

Following the financial banking crisis of 1999, the US dollar became legal tender in Ecuador on March 13, 2000

Making lots of incoming tour group guests happy, with lots of money to spend.

I think Imagination Pavilion would be the easiest to update, and that's why I think they'll do that. It's basically a blank slate. They've got the track for the ride, which could or could not be changed if they updated the Imagination experience following the ride. If the upstairs was re-opened and the overall "after" experience of the ride was great, people wouldn't fuss about the ride. It's as good as any other track ride. It's just so disappointing because there is zero imagination involved in the "Imagination" Pavilion. I think upgrading it would make FW a lot more complete. I'd be very happy if they updated IP and UoE. Then I'd feel like Epcot was almost "whole" again. But, I'm not holding my breath.

That map looks correct, number 8 though is the worldshowplace thing that isnt going anywhere, but it could if they wanted to. I think the only thing were going to see added to Epcot in the forseeable future is more and more booze, pardon my language but TDO is hellbent on adding nothing but. Attractions now play second fiddle if even second, sadly. :(

Oh my gosh! I've been to Ecuador! That would be awesome!!!!! I got to go on the Andes mts. to visit a family. :)

I also ate fried guinea pig there. I was actually pretty good. They should serve it in the pavilion's restaurants. ;)
