Well, for what it's worth -- I'm totally glad that you're happy. And, I think you have done an exceptional job of informing the community of my motives, going on like two or three years now. So, I think your work here is totally done.

Hi @Goofyernmost! Wow, that's such a gross oversight on my behalf. Ugh, I hope you forgive me. You can still choose one anyway, though!
I'll take it under advisement....

Hi
Hi @Master Yoda
! Wow, spoken like a true Star Wars fan!!! You must have just seen Rogue One or something. LOL. I wanted to see it this weekend but all of the 3D IMAX and XD Xtreme screens are sold out. So, hopefully I'll see it around Christmas or something.
I wish it had something to do with Star Wars, I have just never been into Nintendo. Sure I played it and had fun doing it, but I would not feel the slightest bit of sadness if Mario and Zelda dropped out of existence.

The games and the franchises never grabbed me like they did so many.

I would mot get immersed into games until the early 90's with games like MYST, Wing Commander and the X-Wing series. That was when I felt like I officially became a gamer.

Star Wars Nerds vs Gamer Geeks.

I think both will have a cult following.. I think the SW is the bigger universe compared to Mario though.
I think each stands on their own and they won't be in direct competition of each other.
I'm excited for both!

I think SW would win even on a Nintendo fansite. The force is nowhere stronger than amongst Gamers.

As for me, I love games, but unless somebody opens Civilisation Land it is not even a contest. And even if that would give me the opportunity to pretend to be All Mighty Global Overlord, what is the difference with pretending to be just that when playing a game? That, I think, is one flaw of the 'interactive' fad. Imagine a screen based Mario attraction that allows you to control the movement of what happens on the screen simply by swiping your magicband. It is a great evolution of the old static ride...into something found in your home. The theme park full circle, from bringing to life that which the guest sees on the flat 2D screen into a real environment, to bringing this environment into an interactive, user-driver, screen-based environment to fulfill individual desires, so the guest can see just what he sees on the flat 2D screen at home.

Honestly what I've seen for Star Wars land doesn't really excite me all that much...I guess since I'm just a 'casual fan' and not a hardcore SW person it just doesn't do much for me.

I'm not a gamer either though...and yet I'm very excited for Nintendo World. I think much has to do with the quality Universal has built in the past decade...something we haven't gotten much of at WDW.

Come on.. are you kidding me? This is a forum for people who are passionate about Disney. How does this relate to ANYTHING we're discussing here? Let's not derail a valid discussion into yet another pointless debate.
Valid discussion ?

First Nintendo build will have 0 screen based rides, so people will be placed into the games which is a big draw.

Both... Anything new that can add to my vacationing experience is welcomed. I've been a bigger SW fan but still have a fondness for Zelda and Nintendo themed lands will bring excitement to a day or two away from Disney

I'm not a big Star Wars fan but I'm educated enough to appreciate them. I really only educate myself so I can enjoy Star Wars land when it opens. Similar to avatar Land. Nintendo on the other hand I grew up playing so I like more. But I just really like the way Disney does things so I'd favor Star Wars.

Personally, I could live a long happy life without either of them, but, that just makes this thread not my place, since you didn't give me that option in the poll. ;) Enjoy!

That was going to be my comment as well - where is the neither button. How about some original content? I'm beginning to sound a but like Anton Ego over here - I would like some fresh perspective.

Really, what ever happend to creating something from scratch and letting it stand in it's own merits.

Unhappy? Not in the least. Just making sure folks know your true motivation for being around these parts....
My only true motivation for being here was to have fun discussing all things Disney. But, you already know this.

I'll take it under advisement....
Please don't. You can call me brand advocate whenever you want -- even though it's totally untrue. Better the devil you know than the one you don't. I learned that the hard way, this past weekend. So, I guess I'll just keep you around. LOL.

Ouch @Master Yoda! That seems kind of harsh. But, I know better than to mess with any Star Wars fans. Point well taken! LOL.

Is Happy Christmas ... Just saying
By that, do you mean -- It's a Hap Hap Happiest Christmas? Because, that's not was I was talking about at all. And, I couldn't find a clean version of that to post on here. LOL.

So, here's a bonus that's funny and "sort of" clean. LOL.

Too funny. I can't believe I have never seen this movie until recently.

Valid discussion ?
Yes. Valid. The poll reveals that voters are more excited about Star Wars Land by more than double!!!

Thanks for voting everyone!!! And, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! For real.

I loved the MYST series. Riven was my favorite. Those games would make for a really cool "land" if executed well.

For the topic of the thread, I'm looking forward to both lands. Both should be amazing. We are living in great times where there is sooooo much new FL theme park construction either recently completed, currently under way, or in the plans! Nintendo World or Star Wars Land, both gonna be sweet for sure, but the question for me is lasting appeal. Will the attractions themselves be on par with classics for re-rideability?
