Not everything. It has to be based on something that is produced and requires a studio of some sort to make. Rockit is currently the only attraction that tries to stretch this category to its absolute limit, as everything else fits safely into film & television production.

Pokemon isn't the best fit for USF's theme, especially if it slants heavily toward the games in any way, but they do have a Get Out of Jail Free card by way of the animated films and Detective Pikachu. The latter has a distinctive art direction that's basically incompatible with the rest of the franchise though. Assuming there's any merit to this rumor, it will be interesting to see which direction they go, and if they try to balance between the different aspects of the franchise or go with something more specific.

They'll call it "Pokemon Studios" and it will reference everything and anything. That's my guess.

Or they won’t because they don’t care. Super Nintendo World is not being connected to the garbage 1993 [Disney] movie or the cartoon shows but it is being dropped into three Studios parks and was almost built in Universal Studios Florida. The Legend of Zelda is not based on a book. The future of Universal is Epic Universe, a random assortment of properties that can be switched and swapped without concern or care.

That's essentially what IOA is as well. USF is the only park where any of this actually matters. Fans have attributed a literary theme to IOA, because 90% of the attractions technically fit that description (if you ignore the fact that JP & Potter are actually based on the movies), but it was never official. Anything that fits the nebulous concept of "adventure" is on theme. That being said, I'm not convinced Zelda is even happening. I first heard that rumor a long time ago and nothing has come of it yet.

Zelda was put on hold when Epic Universe was given the final go ahead earlier than anticipated. It was very much going to happen.

Everything fits in the "studios" theme. It's its greatest strength and weakness.

I'd prefer it if they kept STUDIOS as a cinematic theme - even if it's stretching it in some instances.

Pokemon is a computer game. However, the theme of the game could mean it could fit into IAO.

However, if it means getting rid of the awful kid zone with something new then i'd take it !
