Has anyone stayed at POFQ and tell me about the Bus transportation. We stayed there two summers ago and the bus service was awful. I love the Boat ride to Disney Springs, and the smallness of the resort, but the bus transportation sent me running. Any recent experiences you can share.
Thanks,
CJ

We stayed there March 3-10 of this year & we fell in love with everything at this resort. The buses weren't too bad. Except waiting to go to a breakfast reservation one morning we waited about 45 minutes for a bus & one evening we waited a good 25-30 min. for a bus back to the resort from MK. I would say that the average wait was 15-20 min.

We stayed there during this past Thanksgiving week. We didn't experience any abnormal waits. It's nice to just have one stop and not have to stop several times before you even leave the resort.

We are here at POFQ now and the bus service has been fantastic. Bus waits have been ten minutes or less at the resort and the parks and we have not shared bus service with POR.

We had no long waits during the week we were there. Even on the one morning when the bus left full, before we could get on, another one was there within 5 minutes. But then again, I don't know what the OPs definition of awful is. Some people are better off renting a car, for their own peace of mind.

This is one of the reasons POFQ is my goto moderate. Bus system is great! That and the Hurricane's served at the pool bar.

I have stayed at POFQ in 2009, 12,13,14 and 2016. The transportation is one of the reasons I stay there. It has only one bus stop. Were PORS has 4. To me that is just more time that you spend on the bus instead of being at the parks to enjoy them. I do not think Disney buses live up to the " arrive every 20 minutes" at any of the resorts. In 2016 they installed tv screens with the wait times for the buses at the bus stop. There were still times that no bus time was on the screen for were you were going or the time kept changing when the bus did not get there at the time originally posted.

We also have been staying there for years and except for a couple of incidents, the bus service had been fine. What was so bad about your experience?

While staying at POFQ in April 2017, we were told the buses to and from the parks were now nonstop and were not scheduled to stop at Riverside anymore. This could change at any time, but you can call the resort to check the current status. The nonstop service was a huge time saver.

Another one here for great bus service. This is our "home" resort and literally the only resort that I have stayed at for the past 20+ years, no joke. Now I cannot remember specifically how the bus service was that long ago, but the past 4 or 5 years we have never had a problem. No sharing with other resorts and only one bus stop is great. Plus this resort is just plain awesome in general!
