POFQ help, please

Anyone who's been to POFQ recently...couple of questions. First, where is the bus stop located? I have seen an online version of the resort map, but cannot spot the bus stop.

Also, on another site, someone posted that the even numbered buildings were formerly the smoking rooms...can anyone verify that info, and is the smell pronounced in these buildings/rooms? I'm kinda sensitive to the smell since I quit smoking several years ago, so would prefer to avoid it if at all possible.

I could not tell you about the smoking rooms but the bus stop is located just out of the front entrance. If you are looking at the main entrance from the front they are just to the left and they are covered. (Looking from the parking lot going into the building). Coming out of the building from the lobby they will be on your right. Either way they are right by the entrance.

This map shows the bus stop just to the right outside the main entrance at POFQ.

Can't help with regard to which buildings were or weren't smoking.

According to 'Passporter Walt Disney World Resort' by Jennifer Marx et al., 2007, buildings 2 and 6 were the smoking bulildings. Also, an FYI, the rooms are 314 square feet. Thank You.

I would presume that all former smoking rooms went through a thorough cleaning when the conversion to all non-smoking happened. The same cleaning that they go through now if it's found that someone has been smoking in the room.

We stayed in building 2 in January, and there was no stale smoke smell that usually comes along with rooms that were formerly designated for smoking. Plus I found building 2 was EXTREMELY convenient to the pool, food court, and boats. Just my 2 cents....

Enjoy your trip

thanks much for all the good info! Glad to hear the former smoking rooms in bldg 2 are not stinky...from looking at the map, that one looks like it would be a nice location. We have stayed at formerly smoking hotels in other places that smelled like old ashtrays, though. Like they declared the hotel non-smoking but did no extra cleaning or painting to get rid of the smell.
