POFQ and Pop Warner

For economic reasons, we're considering downgrading our December trip from WL to POFQ but we're concerned about staying there during Pop Warner (we'd be there for the first half of the Pop Warner Week). Has anyone stayed at POFQ during Pop Warner? What was it like? Would you stay there at that time again? Any and all opinions welcome.

You should not have an issue. The effects of Pop Warner on PORS and FQ are minimal at best. For the most part the bulk of the teams will be at All Star Sports and the problems with Pop Warner tend to be isolated to that resort as well.

We stayed POFQ in Dec 2006 during Pop Warner week. We had none at our resort as far as we could tell. It was very quiet. Two cheerleaders and their moms got on our bus at Riverside one morning but they weren't cheering. They were very nice to talk to. My sister said that they had some cheerleaders on their evening bus one night when we weren't with them. They were cheering then. I guess it's just a luck of the draw kind of thing.

I think POR would get any Pop Warner overflow crowds because it is a larger resort. You should be fine.

I'm not 100% sure but I'm thinking POR was an option in the Pop Warner registration form last year but not POFQ. If that's the case and there were Pop Warner kids at POR the only time it should or could affect POFQ people is on the bus rides. If you wanted to avoid that impact bring your car, rent a car, or utilize the taxis. Have fun! :wave:
