Pleasure Island to Offer Single Club Ticket Starting 2/6

Beginning Sunday, February 6, 2005, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island will test a new single-club ticket option at specific Pleasure Island clubs. This single-club ticket offers guests the option to choose an individual dance club to enjoy for the evening. The price of the single club ticket will be $9.95 during the test period.

Guests wishing to experience all Pleasure Island clubs can continue to do so with a multi-club ticket. Beginning Sunday, February 6, 2005, the price of a multi-club ticket will be $20.95.

Guests with multi-day tickets that include admission to Pleasure
Island will continue to be able to gain access to all clubs. In
addition, we will continue with our trial phase of Downtown Disney guests being able to travel through Pleasure Island from the West Side as well as the Marketplace and enjoy the street atmosphere of the island.

Is this only for the dance clubs? I usually only go to AC, as that is the only club that I feel is appropriate for my almost 12 year old son. (But not after 10:30 PM ;) ) And I know that many of you feel that even AC should be adults only. I didn't go there until my daughter was 18 (I left my son at home) even though PI had been opened almost two decades previously. If I waited for my son to be "old enough" I would still have to wait another 6 years from now.

I went to the club twice, in different months, without him, and determined that it would be appropriate for him, as he watches Comedy Central, The Daily Show, loves Lewis Black, Denis Leary, etc and can follow the flow.

Are ALL 11 year olds mature enough to be there? No. Is mine? I think so, but I also would not keep him there for the last show! :animwink:

Anyone know what clubs the single club pass will get you into? Most of the time I just want to go into the Adventurer's Club and the Comedy Warehouse. Any word?

I would guess it will be all clubs that at this time take a ticket to get into. It sounds like PI is trying to find out what is working and what is not right now. I love PI and I always try to hit each club when ever I go but I do spend most of my time at AC with a trip to CW every other night or so. I think PI is a great thing overall but the one thing I do see happening soon is them closing some of the clubs during slow times because they are not making anything off of running them. We hit Motions one night and it had like 6 people in there... that is not something that can keep any club going. PLEASE people go to PI and visit all the clubs atleast it will help with the numbers.

Thanks for the info, Dave! I hope AC is one of the clubs that offers these tix. I'm not much of a dancer. A good one, anyways. :D

Now if they offered an AC Annual Pass for $75... I'd be all up on that

Hmmm....guess I'll finally visit the AC and see if it's as good as everyone makes it out to be.

Looks like they're going the CityWalk way here --- pay per-club or for an all-club pass.

I'm just glad that they cut off the kids with their 21 and over escorts from Motions, now you HAVE to be 18 or over. Last time I was there, this group of like 14 year old girls were dancing around and screaming and you could just tell the difference between them and all the other people in the club. Plus it really wasn't the best environment for them. Honestly, I wouldn't let my kid in Motions if they were under 18.

Been that way since Like October, Rob....
Actually, it's been that way for years. When I first moved down to Orlando, and was working for Wal*Mart, I had a Pleasure Island annual pass, and I'd stop off at the Comedy Warehouse every night after work for the midnight show. It was great. :)
