Pleasure Island Question

At Pleasure Island are they real strict about ID checks? I'm going with 3 friends and 2 are 18 and me and the other guy are just one month shy of 18. Would it be possible to get it to like the Rock n Roll beach club and Motion or would we be out of luck. Me and my friend have military ID's. would that work? Or since we had to do this for the Sea Raycer boats my mom and his are making my friend who's 18 are temporay legal guardian and it says not allowed unless accompanied by legal guradian so maybe that way might help. Last is Pleasure Island open from Monday-Wed or no just Thurs to Sun? Thank for any help I really want to go, but sucks being a month shy.

It is my understanding that they are very strict about this at PI. I have even seen them enforce it very tightly when underage children are with their parent's. Disney has too much to lose to slack in this area like some corner/college bar.

They will NOT let your "shy of 18" friend in. Don't even try it. You will waste your time. Plus, sometimes (especially when things are crowded and busy) wasting a bouncers time trying to play off an I.D. when you are almost 18 could result in some legal problems...as in, they could call the cops.

Like everyone else has said, don't even bother trying... unless....

Over the next month, they are keeping the island open. You just need to have paid to get into the clubs. That way, your friend could at least come on the island with you, if not actually do anything.

Those bouncers were crazy. They refused to give me a bracelet when I was 23 because I was there with people who weren't 21. After I got in an arguement with them and they rechecked my ID about 50 times, they gave me a bracelet. And it is not like I have one of the state IDs that can easily be copied.

So don't try it. Go somewhere else.

I agree, don't even try it.

You have to be at least 18 to get into PI after 7pm, but you have to be 21 to get into some of the clubs there and they are VERY strict about it. And I think it's a good thing. Last thing Disney needs is a bunch of teenage wannabes getting drunk or whatnot.

Here in Tampa we have a club where you have to be at least 23 to get in. Too many peeps who have just turned 21 can still ruin it for us "older folks" by getting plastered. At least when you hit 23 you've "matured" somewhat... I hope.

When you are 21 or over, you get a wristband and a hand stamp saying which lets the bouncers know that you are over 21. If not, you just get one or the other...I can't remember at the moment!

Every time I have been they always check our passports at the turnstiles and sometimes again in the Adventurers Club at the bar, but maybe thats because of my English Rose/porcenlain/pale skin!!

You get a handstamp if you are 18-20, and the wristband if you are 20 and up.

Ok, but what about the military ID's, they don't show my date of birth, but a valid ID's, I used it for the discount at CP and had no problem at all.

They'll most likely ask to see an ID that has your birth date on it to verify your age.

yes they are there was a guy in front of us where they couldnt see the hologram on his out of state id they wouldnt give him a bracelet so my husband was a little worried because his id had been washed so many times no hologram but the lady said since it was florida id they could tell and let us in fine. but they spend a lot of time scrutinizing the ids

I look young for my age, and last time I went I was still a Florida resident. They looked over my ID a number of times. Your friends are not going to be able to get into the bars without mommy and daddy. Do they even let people under 18 after a certain time in the evening?

But, my mom is signing a paper at AAA to make my friend who's 18 my temporary legal guardian so we can drive the SeaRaycer boats at Fort Wilderness, so wouldn't that be the same thing.

Listen to everyone here - You won't stand a chance of getting in if you're under 18. There's about 5 people at each entrance checking ID's.

I'm 28, and everytime I go, they triple check my ID because it's out of state.
