Pleasure Island and Child Care Questions

I got the "Water Parks Fun and More" option on my tickets. (By the way, is this the same as the MYW Plus Pack?)

Anyway, this package says it includes Pleasure Island. Now what exactly does that mean? Admission to the clubs? Every club or just one club/night? Does that include the comedy club? If we use the tix to go to Typhoon Lagoon, can we go to Downtown Disney that same night?

We mainly got "Water Parks Fun and More" for Typhoon Lagoon and DisneyQuest, but my husband and I are thinking about sneaking away for a few hours one night, since Pleasure Island is included in this package too.

We're not big bar/dance club people and thought the Comedy Club would be cool. I was wondering what the comedy shows there were like, like we were worried that it would just be corny Disney jokes. I looked on All Ears and was reading some info about it. It says that "the later shows tend to be more adult humor than the earlier shows". The times of the shows are 8, 9:05, 10:15 p.m., 11:45 p.m. & 12:45 a.m. Would you consider the 10:15 to be "late" enough?

I take it from looking at the times, that the shows last about an hour or so, am I right? I was looking into the Sandcastle Club at Beach Club Resort for child care since it is the closest to Downtown Disney, am I right? And am I also right in assuming that anybody can use the child care service and not just guests at that resort? And if I dropped my son off at 8:00 , would that give my husband and I enough time to get to Downtown Disney and get in line an hour before the 10:15 show? I heard it gets pretty busy and it's recommended that we get in line an hour early, am I right? And we can expect to be able to pick up our son by midnight, right? (He's 10 and has stayed up that late on special occasions before)

Sorry, so many questions!

Thank you!

edited to say: boy do i say "am i right?" "am i right?" enough times or WHAT! geez... LOL

Can't help much with the ticket questions but I can help with the child care and PI thing.

First for the child care. You will want to call and make a reservation they tend to fill up especially on the weekends. I believe every deluxe resort has one so if the one you are looking for is sold out try the others. I think they open around 6:00 and you will need to pick your child up by midnight. Cost is around $10 an hour. We have taken our youngest to Neverland and she did not want to leave. There is also an in room day care provided by an outside company if you wish to stay out past midnight. Guest services will be able to put you in contact with them if no one chimes in with their number.

Now for PI. We are the same as you with respect to not liking the whole club scene. You will definitely want to go to The Adventurers Club as well as the Comedy Warehouse. CW is improve comedy much like "Whose Line is it anyway?". The AC is a little hard to describe. It is set up like a 1930's English Gentleman's club with cast members playing a variety of characters. It is kind of like going to the theater except at the AC you are sitting in the middle of the stage. Check out www.mkt3000.comHe has some great pictures of the AC on his site.

There is a gated entrance at P.I., like all the other parks.
There is no longer a gated entrance to PI. It was removed a few years ago. You will present your ticket at which ever club you enter.
