Pleasure Island 18+

It's just the cp-ers made the party. Even thought Disney wasn't making the money, people would go because there were people there. And also I have a question, I heard antigua has an 80's night? Worth going? Age limit?

No, this is not true. I was there last night and attendance was just fine.

Attendance is far from fine. It's been awful ever since the new year. Especially during the week, when Disney depended on many of those 18-21 crowd, the numbers have dropped rapidly. And when there's less people at the bars/clubs, less of the 21 and over crowd want to be there too. I think there might have been a whole 10 people on the island last night, where as a year ago the same time (and same cold weather conditions..lol), the clubs would've been moderately packed on a Monday night.

Making something at Disney not family-friendly may hurt them. They have completely alienated the family crowd which means most of the people who are in the parks during the daytime are not going to be at Pleasure Island at night--especially with Evening EMHs. Basically the only people they now "appeal" to are locals, who know of better places to go, young couples who do not yet have kids but do vacation together (who are also more likely to either stay in the parks late or head back to the hotel rather than go to Pleasure Island with 10 others) and older couples whose kids have grown up, who probably aren't that enamored by Pleasure Island. I prefer the set-up they have now at Disneyland's Downtown Disney--it's definitely more mature than the Theme Parks, yet it is family-friendly, and if I might point out, generally busy and profitable. They also benefit from their proximity to the parks, though.

It may be "far from fine" but i'm just stating what I saw on that Saturday night. Adv. Club was packed and the parking lot was pretty busy. Hopefully things will pick up again when summer hits. It's kinda been chilly and rainy lately and no one wants to go out.

Actually, that's not true. Attendance is up over 12% from the same time last year, and sales at 8Trax, RRBC and Ad Club are all up over the same period last year. remember, P.I. doesn't make money off of admission. Admission is peanuts. P.I.'s revenue comes from Alcohol sales in the clubs. Eliminating 18-21 year olds that can't legally buy drinks, and most of which were non-paying cp's is not hurting P.I. in anyway. If you have any doubt to this, feel free to ask Djuan Rivers how P.I. is doing, or any of the club managers, or even me, seeing as DW was a club manager up until last month.

WHAT?!

My cousin and I am going down this summer, and one of the things we were excited about was going to Pleasure Island. It was a nice clean place to dance and have fun, and it was supposed to be friggin' great. Now, all of a sudden, they change the friggin' age restrictions. I'm 20 and he'll be 20 by then, and now we're barred from everything we wanted to do. This is unbe-friggin'-lievable. I was worried about the Mansion, but this is an even bigger blow to the vacation.

Hmm...like the word "friggin'" huh?
