Thank God he's still alive Anna, I was worried when you hadn't posted for a while! Continue to be positive, it's a shame you have to deal with other awkward family members but your fathers recovery is what is important right now.

Stand your ground with your family! You are his next of kin. Do you really want his sister and mother not allowing you to see your own father? Know your rights and let the Doctors know that you are an adult and that you want to be respected as your father's next of kin or you will have lawyers there in a heartbeat. Don't worry about money there will be enough lawyers lining up to take your case and ask for payment either out of the settlement or later.
I'm not typically one to say sue or threat with a lawyer but I remember when my mother had cancer not knowing what was going on the whole first year (I was 12 but still my mother was in a coma for 3 days and I never was told) and it just really sucks being denied access because you are the child.

It's really a shame that your Aunt feels she must act this way. In times like this families should pull together, not cause more strife. I have a feeling she is probably just trying to protect you, but still...

Thank you so much! He is still in the ICU. Still in critical condition and still intubated. He had a fever/infection that they were finally able to get down. He seems to be pretty stable though. So thankful for that.

Thank you all for your prayers when the accident happened! Dad is ALIVE! He just got sent home (It's been a few months now!) 
He ended up losing his short term memory in the accident, but I'm so happy he's alive. His brain function is still off, but he's doing well regardless. So thankful his life was spared!!!
