Please pray for my family

As Regina said...cry it out...b/c that's one of the only things that can help deal with the grief that can then take you back to a somewhat normal life...although truthfully, after something like this, life can never be "normal" again. You will always end up missing that person.

Prayers coming your way from Cincinnati.

Even though it is easy to say there should be rejoicing in his Homecoming, it is hard for those left behind. Prayers for strength and a sense of comfort, knowing that he is at peace and with our Lord.

I am sorry that it has taken me this long to post, but I just saw the thread. My prayers are with you and your family.

As you may have read, I lost my father just this past February, and it is still rough. The paperwork and uncertainty for my mother are still with us, and will be for some time. I have just tried to be there for my mother, and help as I can.

I would suggest doing the same: trying to spend more time with your family, especially your dad, as you can in the coming months. The commotion will recede quickly, and he may have more rough times after that (and that he may not show). The two of you can help each other, and grow stronger in your own relationship as you do.

Thanks again everyone. He is now at rest with my grandmother. And we are back home. It's been a tough week for everyone and I'm glad it's over with.
