Please Help Us Choose a Resort

We got a pin code for a room discount in December and had our hopes up to stay in a MK view in the Tower at the Contemporary, but it's not available for our dates. :brick:

We'd like to stay near the MK. Currently there is availability with the Pin offer for a Theme Park view at the Poly and the GF but we don't know if the MK view from those resorts is worth the extra $$$.

It will be me, DH and DD (8 1/2 months at the time)

Should we...

1. Stay in the Garden Wing at the Contemporary
2. Stay at the GF Theme Park view
3. Stay at the Poly Theme Park view
4. Stay at the Poly Garden view
5. Stay at GF Garden view

I would personally do a theme park view at either the Poly or GF as long as it's within your budget. I like the Poly better but that's just personal preference. Just make sure that whichever resort your choose if you do the theme park view that it's a full theme park view and not one where you need to peak around the corner and see it.

This would be the order i would put your choices in!!!

No if i had my choice of a resort not on your list i would pick WL!!!!

The garden wing at the contemporary can be great if you can get a room at the end of the "T" facing bay lake otherwise it's hit or miss. You may get a lot of boat noise on the canal side.

I would choice a theme park view at the GF or Poly if you can afford it.

I'm going against the grain and saying garden view at Poly. The theme park views are hit or miss and you are on the other side of the lagoon, so it won't be that close anyway. Unlike the Contemportary, with it's jaw-dropping theme park view, it's not worth the extra money.

See if one of the Attic Rooms with a theme park view is avaialble at the GF, we stayed there for an anniversary one year and loved it, private balacony, great view and great room.

Poly would be OK too. Anything but CR. Bleh.

Did you try Bay Lake Tower? I know it's a DVC resort (My home resort), but they do alot so many rooms for Non-DVC guests. I'm not sure $$ difference between BLT, Poly or GF theme park views, but with Poly.....it will definitely be hit or miss...I think there is an island between the MK and Poly too..so it would be your luck you would pay for theme park view and get a room facing the MK but only see the island.

GF experience

We had a MK view room at the GF last year in Sept. We absolutely loved it! We had a view of the lake, MK, MK entrance building and Space Mountain. I don't know about the other properties though. If I had a choice, I would always go for GF because we love that property, it's so beautiful and elegant.
