My Family and I are leaving the UK to WDW on Monday and two things are worrying me. I have recently read about walls up around the Fountain of Nations and also the repainting of the Hat at DHS. Are either of these works complete does anyone know?

I am a bit gutted about both as I love the fountain and it wasn't working last time I was there (last xmas)

Thanks for any info guys/gals, it's much appreciated.

We were at DHS on Jan 24th, and the walls were up but the hat looked about 2/3rd painted from my view and only once during the day did we see a crane up with painting going on. It may be done, and is still quite visible despite the walls. We have a family photo in front of the hat at night and you can barely tell the wall is there.

The fountain of Nations, however, is completely behind the construction wall, which both means I missed something I love to see that screams Epcot to me, and also means that it creates an even larger bottle-neck after Illuminations to go to one side of it or the other on the way out.

I haven't heard when either will be done, but I am guessing the hat might be by the time you get there...

Have a great trip!!!

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I'm pretty sure they want the hat done by the time American Idol has its grand opening on the 14th.

If it's not too late... the walls around the Hat should be down this coming week (2/9). It might not... but allegedly it's happening. The date the refurb is supposed to be done is 2/8, so the walls could be coming down tomorrow.

As far as the Fountain goes, no clue... They've had the wall up for a while, but as Magic Music Days is supposed to be starting soon, and they do (or at least did) take some of the group pictures on the stage behind the fountain, I would imagine that the refurb will be ending soon. No clue though...
