There are just so many!!!! I usually choose a restaurant based on what park I am going to be in or what restaurant I will be near. In December the following are my plans such as they are at the moment:
Dec 3rd Hoop De Doo Revue ( new item, never tried it before)
December 4th O'hana's in the Polynesian( easy access for the MVMCP, I have been here before and love the island atmosphere and food style!)
Dec 5th 50's Prime TIme Cafe at MGM ( A definite do not miss, we do go here every trip. I usually get either the Pot Roast, Pork Tenderloin, or Penne Pasta & Shrimp dish)
Dec 6th Teppanyaki Grill for the Candlelight Processional ( Been here before I like the Filet Mignon and shrimp combo)
Dec 7th for the Princess Breakfast in Norway ( this is a new one)
Hope this helps!! Belle

Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge for the all you can eat Skillet Breakfast (a great way to start your day)

Concourse Steakhouse in the Contemporary for a steak dinner

O'hana at the Poly for a fantastic dinner in a great atmosphere (Love the grilled meats and pineapple w/warm caramel sauce afterwards)

We tried the Cape May in the Beach Club for their seafood dinner and now have plans to return.

I have to say Chef Mickey's...for breakfast! It's a buffet, they have lots of great stuff, and the atmosphere is awesome. It's in the Contemporary, so the monorail goes through. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Chip & Dale are all present...they come to every table, which is great if you have kids. Also, if someone is celebrating a birthday or anniversary, they have a fun song and performance called celebrate that everyone in the restaurant participates in. They also have a dinner buffet, but i'd say hands down, breakfast is best and they have everyting. The food combined with the atmosphere makes Chef Mickey's a must dining experience! Enjoy!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Ohana´s for DINNER, do not mistake it with breakfast. The food at dinner time is delicious! It´s an all you can eat, but they bring it to your table, so you don´t even have to stand up. The banana bread made in their oven is real good as it is everything they keep bringing and the desserts too! :slurp: :slurp:

Well I'll do my favorites at the parks:
MK-Crystal Palace for breakfast. They have a lot of food haha and it's really good trust me. I might also be partial to it because I get to see Eeyore! (and Pooh,Tigger,Piglet)
For dinner or lunch I love Liberty Tree Tavern. Their turkey is great and if you go for dinner you can see the characters.
MGM-Hollywood Brown Derby is really yummy. I love the bread. How sad is that? Well the filet minon is my favorite thing though. I love looking at the walls to see whos on them.
Epcot-The Princess Breakfast is average but I love seeing all the princesses. But compared to Crystal Palace this looks like McDonalds and not IHOP.
For dinner definatly do Morocco. Yum! I love seeing the men with their jaws dropped looking at the belly dancer. It's a good laugh. Food wise I love the chicken kabobs. The sauce they have for them is awesome.
DAK-I've never done anything but Rainforest Cafe but I still think it's a good place. Don't get the pasta though or pizza. Just a word of warning.

Well I think thats it since I've never eatin in any of the resorts. I'll get to them one of these times!

Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom) – Great food, great atmosphere, go for lunch. Beef barley soup, prime rib, garlic smashed potatoes, and chocolate desert.

Columbia Harbour House (Magic Kingdom) – Counter service, good food, eat upstairs over walkway! Fish, chips and chicken strips.

Concourse Steakhouse (Contemporary) – Best steak in WDW, at a reasonable price! Steak, garlic smashed potatoes, veggies.
ESPN Club (Boardwalk) – Stadium food to the max! Dingers (Chicken fingers) & hockey pucks (chocolate covered brownie with ice cream)

Hey there, Belle again weighing in. Hey Mr Tom Morrow!!! I went to Alfredo's in Italy and wasnt terribly impressed but that could be because of two things
1) I belong to a VERY Italian family and can cook a pretty mean tomato sauce on my own
2) I live in NYC where we really have some pretty awesome Italian places to eat.
Also I have to disagree with you on Boatwirght's especially for breakfast. This is about what I would spend in a diner here and the food is awesome. This restaurant is part of the reason why we choose to stay at PO Riverside most of the time!!!
Let's keep the feedback coming!! This is pretty awesome!! Belle

I will also give a big thumbs-up to Whispering Canyon for breakfast (as long as you don't mind the hootin' and hollerin'), O'Hana's for dinner (grab your hula-hoop), Chef Mickey, and Concourse Steak house. I also really liked the Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK. The food was pretty good, but my daughter really loved the characters in 1770's outfits. I was not terribly impressed with any of the MGM restaurants, personally (especially the one where you sit in the cars; cute idea, terrible experience). But that's just my opinion, obviously.

One of my new favorites is the restaurant in the Japan building in Epcot. We've been to Epcot dozens of times, but had never tried Japan's restaurant. Well, we went during our last visit and I LOVED it. Dinner is pretty expensive, but lunch is almost exactly the same and a lot cheaper. Try it, and you will NOT be disappointed.

Hmmmmmm, maybe we will give that a try when we go down in 19 days. (Wow, now I'm excited - I didn't realize I was under the 20 day mark!):sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Grumpy - what kind of food do they serve during dinner. Buffet w/ some african bushman dishes thrown in (like b'fast)?

A great IDEA!

If you have the chance, when I was a CP in Tomorrowland, I always wondered what Fantasy in the Sky looked like from the Contemporary because every day on the Speedway bridge, all I would do is stare at the Castle, Space, Astro, and the Contemporary(or what I could see of it). There is a place in the Contemp. called the California Grill(like 13th floor), and it is absolutley amazing when the fireworks are shot off. When I was working there, I recieved some tip off's that they were practicing and testing the perimeter fireworks at about 10 at night. My girlfriend had just come in for the week, and I was sure that it would be MAGICAL. Well, if you ask for a table showing the Magic Kingdom(in ADVANCE, ADVANCE, ADVANCE) then I can't explain how much of a once in a lifetime experience it can be. If you go, don't forget the camera because no one will have any idea how you got those amazing pictures of the fireworks (tell them a friend took you up in a helicopter) lol. Also, if you know the right people, you can even get on the roof, and that is "EVEN BETTER!"

Somebody said California Grill was hoity toidy. This is far from the truth IMHO. Pricey yes, but worth every penny. Plan to go just before MK closes and watch the fireworks from atop the Contemporary while dining at Ca. Grill. Great experience. Never had a bad meal there. Never had bad service there.

Another must do is expensive, but well worth it at Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. Try the Buffalo, you won't regret it.

Don't go to ABC Commissary at the Studios. Last time I did I got food poisoning and was sick all night. Not fun.

Two comments.

1) Yes, Whispering Canyon is wonderful. Food is great, the lodge is beautiful. But if you go, wear your parka. I don't know why, but the last two times I've gone, I almost froze to death. Seems like they keep the AC at around 45 degrees. Last time, I had to leave the restaurant twice to go outside and warm up. No joke.

2) If California Grille is too pricey for you, you can still go outside and just watch the fireworks from the roof of the Contemporary. You don't need to order food to watch the fireworks. This is what we did after eating at Chef Mickey.
