sounds like you have a great plan. Its good you left that one afternoon open in case you missed something at one of the parks due to the possibility of rain on one of your other days. Have a magical trip!

I hate eating at the waterparks. I would suggest maybe letting that meal stay unplanned - then just call and figure out what's available when you're on the bus/car back to the resort.

I did it 2x on our last trip, and I lucked into Citricos (dinner), and I "settled" for The Wave (dinner). I actually enjoyed The Wave, despite it being nearly last on my options-list.

First, I hate you because you're going to the world.

Second, I don't know if you've been there, but I have had bad meals at 50s. The theme is tip-top obviously, but the food is horrible IMO. I had the fish sandwich and the fried chicken- pretty easy dishes?- it was bad. Slightly better at the Sci-Fi Diner. It's just my opinion (please don't let me ruin your plans). Overall I dislike DHS for dining. Its the "worst" of the world. I usually walk/boat to boardwalk/epcot area. Although the brown derby isnt bad. Otherwise I just go for a burger when in DHS.

Get to the water park at "rope drop" to maximize your time there. It sounds like you play the water park like I do. Do a few hours, then we're out! Typhoon is my fave- tropical decor/poly-like/more laid back. And I love when ppl start screaming when the wave machine starts. The watercoasters there are awesome! Do them first thing at opening if you go for no line. Maybe grab a snack at the water park or at your hotel and then dine at GF or other MK resort for dinner before heading to the park. I don't know what your budget is but I'm thinking Citricos!! Woot! If not, i hear the GFC does nice meals. Its one of the few not crossed off my list.

Overall, I think you nailed it. You have a little down time, but any itinerary needs some open slots for parks and meals. I guess on monday if you end near epcot you could eat there as it is the best dining park in the world. you still have access to DHS without much hassle.

I probably waste too much time park hopping as compared to other folks, but I don't care. For me its part of the adventure. Is it really a drag to sit in a nice boat and cruise along a picturesque landscape/resort? But I understand for those who have time considerations and I realize your trip isn't 3 weeks long. It is gonna be great! Enjoy! :sohappy:

Thanks :). My dbf who up until yesterday gave me free reign of planning because he has never been came across some websites I had with menus, he took a peek and really wants to try coral reef, something about seeing it on tv as a kid and always wanting to dine next to a giant fish tank lol. So we will be substituting 50's with coral reef. Now, we intend to spend the day at dhs, and do dinner a t coral reef, what is the easiest way to get there from dhs? Dbf has generally stayed away from planning (besides hotel/dates) until now, but is now really excited after looking at menus/resturant pics :)
