I recently purchased a portable DVD player with game hook ups. I would like to know how to power my Playstation 2 in my car. What device would I need and where can I get it. Any info would be appreciated! Thank you

AC/DC converter.

*plugs into your cig lighter...and enables you to plug your AC powerjack from the PS2 into it*

(or...you could by a Matrix  )

(Wal*Mart should carry them)

(This would enable you to plug your DVD player into it too...instead of running it off battery power)

I have one of these. Its a pretty good investment too. We had a huge black out and my sis and I sat in the car with my laptop watching DVDs with the converter pluged in.

You'll find that at Target, thank you very much.

on the back of my ps2 it says that it needs 79W. Does that mean I need one that is that exact W or can I get one higher

If you decide to run both off of one converter, check on the watt requirements of the DVD player. Buy a converter that can handle the needs for both.

To answer your question, yes, you can buy a converter with a higher voltage rating than 79W and it will work just fine.

I'm just glad I got a DVD player that goes in the car because every weekend starting next week I'm making 60min.+ trips up till April

Yes, if I'm not mistaken...110W is the maximum it will handle...anything less than that will work fine.

wouldn't it be 120 because that's the standard
