Here's the situation, family of Bears fans arriving on Saturday. Bears game on Sunday. The 5 ladies in our group have ressies at CRT at 4:00pm. 4 males (ages from 7-48) want to stay at our AKL Villa and watch the game.Being from Chicagoland we cannot watch said game without GOOD PIZZA!. I know that most of the pizza places around the Orlando area are sub par at best.( I lived there for 4 yrs so have experience with this). Is there any pizza place that will deliver that has at least somewhat decent( maybe on a NYC level which we all know is inferior to Chicago pizza) pizza?
Also one more question. As sort of a family tradition when we visit or WDW home my oldest son and I always go over to POFQ and get a few orders of beignets to bring back to our resort. Usually we drive to Fl but are flying this time. What's the quickest way to get from Kidani to POFQ and back? Other than by cab I should add.

Can't help much on the Pizza thing...in the rare case we do pizza delivery we just stick with Pizza hut since we know what we'll be getting (even if it isn't great). However, I can be more of a help with the POFQ question. Without a car and without using a cab, you are looking at a bit of a trip to get back and forth. You best options are either going to AK or DTD and transfer from there. I would take whatever bus came first and transfer to the resort. Then repeat the process in reverse to get back to AKL. It won't be nearly as fast as driving, but you'll have your beignets which you really can't pass up.

PLAYOFFS!!!??!?!?

anywho.. Daa Bears!

and good luck finding some pizza.. I know you wish that you could probably have some Gino's East or Giordanos delivered..

Remember the Giants a few years ago?

Anything is possible.

Of course. I didn't sleep for 3 days.:(

The thing is, more importantly, Brady and Belichik remember the Giants game. This offense is more dangerous than the one in 2007. Plus, with the Jets acting like a bunch of pop warner kids fueling the fire, to say the Pats are gonna be on a mission is an understatement.

Quick solution - Realize even if the Bears win the NFC, they'd have to play the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Game over.

This doesn't help his problem. He is looking for advice on where to get pizza to watch a playoff game. He didn't ask for your thoughts on who was going to win the Super Bowl. No one cares about your taunts. :hammer:

I would just see if you could order a pizza at the AKL and have it brought to your villa. Just a suggestion though.

Oh geez, have a sense of humor why don't you? It was a joke.

To the OP, if you ARE going to order a pizza to be delivered, make sure you check with the front desk on which places are "safe". One of the oldest schemes in Disney is for people to leave pizza flyers under doors to rooms, have you call to order a pizza, get your credit card info, then use the info for themselves, and never deliver any pizza.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I never venture over that way. I know there is a Papa Johns around there somewhere.

Here's an idea - If you're going to the parks that day, go over to Epcot and get some pizza to go from Via Napoli. It's wicked expensive, but delicious. Best bet would be to get it to go, walk to the Beach Club via the International Gateway, and take a cab back to AKL. Sadly, this isn't convenient (or inexpensive), but it is an option.

We're flying down the 22nd and were wondering where to watch the AFC Championship on the 23rd. We were gonna attempt ESPN Club, but on days of big games, you need to get there about 3 hours early. We watched the Super Bowl from the bar at Planet Hollywood a few years back. That was a lot of fun. Thinking of going that route again.

I have another questions regarding playoffs, I'm arriving tomorrow Friday from Wisconsin, Of course a Green Bay Fan . Any suggetions were to watch the game, I don't want to stay in the room. I'm at the AKL, I was thinking Rain Forest of the ESPN zone, but I know that can get hard to get in.

Feelings hurt less about the pizza than the barbs at my beloved JETS!! :D

The Jets deserve the barbs they're getting. It seems as though they lack so much confidence going into the game this Sunday, that they're resorting to name calling to try and throw the Patriots off. Believe it or not, I've always liked the Jets (even as a Pats fan, which is bizarre). I've lost all respect for them in the past few weeks though. They're coming off like an organization with very little class. Sorry.:(

ESPN, as I said above will be a nuthouse. Rainforest is always crowded, but a better bet. Planet Hollywood is a good option.

No apologies necessary - I can see how people feel that way. As a lifelong fan that has suffered through COUNTLESS incompetent coaches (Kotite for one), draft busts (Blair Thomas anyone?), etc. this behavior is actually a welcome departure from the past - although - I would much rather strong play on the field to speak for my team, not the coaches/players speaking. I know this seems like a contradiction - I'm basically saying I'd rather not have them jawing - but it's better to have a team with some sort of bravado (false as it may be) than a team that is totally inept.

We're in the same boat. We arrive a few hours before the NFC game and plan on doing Planet Hollywood, should the Bears move on. No way I'd even attempt ESPN that day.

The Jets are far from inept. That's the thing. They're a decent team. And all the trash talk isn't gonna help them. Teams have been doing this to the Patriots for years, and it just motivates them.

When the Giants beat them in the Super Bowl, they did so by focusing on the game, and that was all. The Jets (Rex Ryan especially) are just distracting themselves with all of this silliness.

I definitely agree with the latter statement. Problem is, part of being a Jets fan is being conditioned to waiting for the other shoe to drop. This season has been so different from seasons past - they actually are winning games in an exciting, last minute fashion as opposed to losing them in gutwrenching fashion. Years ago they would have lost that game to Indy and I would still be sulking. It's very strange to explain.

Oh well, I digress. Back on topic - I am no help w/the pizza! :D
