Hoping that I am posting this in the right area. Anyone do this at all? I am trying to run the numbers to see if this would work for us. What happens if la Nouba is not available the week we are there? I think that it might work for us. Was thinking so far of the parasailing, richard petty experience, the spa treatments, the illuminations cruise and dinner at Fulton's for sure. The photo pass cd and photo session are included so that is $200 or so right there. Suggestions or assistance??

The only was it would work is if you booked for just one night. You need to have a package for you whole stay unless you are DVC staying on points.

It would be for the last night there if we did it. Sounds like you can really do a lot for the money if you planned it right. The only thing that stinks is that La Nouba is dark that week. Bummer!

Could you explain that please? We are DVC members who always stay on points, and didn't think this was an option. The DVC Member website only shows the ability to add the Dining Plan, Deluxe Dining Plan, Wine and Dine Plan or Quick Service Plan. Any info about adding 'Platinum' would be appreciated.

Thanks.:)

I'm wondering if bgraham34 was thinking the OP's question referred to the Deluxe Dining Plan?

There are "Premium" and "Platinum" packages that, IN ADDITION TO DELUXE DINING, offer extras such as (drum roll please)

--Unlimited use of selected recreation, including golf, guided fishing excursions, water sports, tennis and more

--Admission to Cirque du Soleil show, La Nouba

-- Portrait session and print package from Disney's PhotoPass Professional Portraits service

--Unlimited admission to Disney's Children's Activity Centers

--Unlimited Admission to certain Theme Park tours: Family Magic, Keys to the Kingdom, The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains, Mickey's Magical Milestones, Behind the Seeds, Around the World at Epcot, Simply Segway Experience, The "UnDISCOVERed" Future World, Gardens of the World, Yuletide Fantasy (seasonal) Backstage Safari, Wild by Design, Disney's Wilderness Back Trail Adventure (Segway tour at Fort Wilderness)

--Admission to Grand Gathering Experiences, if you have eight or more in your party. Each experience is operated on select days of the week. Valid Theme Park admission is required. At least eight persons in your party must attend the same experience. Exchange one meal included in your Magic Your Way Premium Package. For more info on Grand Gatherings, click HERE.

--Access to Preferred Viewing Areas for: Wishes at Magic Kingdom and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot. One view per Theme Park, advance reservations required at least 24 hours in advance and voucher required, subject to availability, certain block-out dates apply. Magic Your Way Premium Package guests can make reservations up to 90 days prior to requested viewing date by calling 407-939-7860.

And that's all the premium package stuff. Platinum includes all that AND, according to allears.net:
pre-arrival planning service, a specialty fireworks cruise, reserved seating at Fantasmic!, selected spa treatment per guest (age restrictions apply), additional dining options, such as the renowned Victoria & Albert's restaurant, room service, and more.

I suspect that, unlike the Dining Plans which have a fixed price per night, the Premium and Platinum packages are priced more like theme park tickets, where how much it is depends on how long you stay. Could be wrong about that, though. But if I'm right, then most likely the OP won't be able to just add it for a day, unless they're allowed to split their stay up into 2 stays with either the first or last night being a Platinum package, and the rest being a standard package.

Dvc just changed it were you can have the dining plan added to as many days as you want on your visit. So if you want just one day of dining you can. Or you can have dining every other day. They just added this option last month.
