Plans for Tomorrowland?

As most of us know Dl's Astro Orbiter received a great looking upgrade which lost most of the gold color scheme and went with something more futuristic looking. It definitely was more colorful. Since Disney is also rumoured to be getting rid of the rocks (if they aren't already) and the land's color scheme is starting to go from Bronze to white/silver/blue what could this mean for Tomorrowland's future? Someone on a different thread said that Disney has some big plans for the park including new attractions (Star Tours 2.0) and some other things. Any ideas on what they might be doing?

Tony Baxter's next project is supposedly the big Tomorrowland overhaul.

Something that people don't realize about the big ugly rocks is that they hold machinery used for the Astro Orbiter. Usually this machinery is buried, like with Dumbo, but most likely for budget reasons, they were covered by the rocks.

So the rocks won't go away unless the Astro Orbiter does, which won't be anytime soon given that the new color scheme looks like it will play a significant role in the New Tomorrowland. Some of the new things built around TL have matched the new silver and blue color scheme, like the Tomorrowland Terrace Stage, the lighting around Nemo, etc.

Sounds really interesting! Shame we don't get Tomorrowland 2055 though.

AE,TK,PFGR, and many more great rides.

If anything Astro Orbitor is actually playing catch up with the rest of Tomorrowland. Since the blue, white, silver and little bit of gold/bronze colors came in 2004 just prior to the 50th when DL went on a huge painting spree.

Even though its still getting fixed DL's Tomorrowland is pretty new with everything being fairly new or reopened. Also this past fall they started to re-do the pavement again. Before it was brown brick pavers, now its a square cement, both look nice but its still only half of TL with the old and the new. Now we need HISTA to go away and a people mover to come back. :)

What I'm thinking is that the landscaping that they're doing around TL (planters around Cosmic Waves, re-do of the pavement, etc.) is Phase I of the big TL refurb.

Phase II will be the replacement/removal of attractions. Star Tours 2.0 is the first, followed by the demolition and rebuilding of the PeopleMover station in preparation for its return. Next would probably be a replacement for HISTA, then maybe a new E-Ticket where Innoventions currently is.

Problem is, rumor has it that the bulk of the refurb won't be happening until DCA's Phase I is finished.

That would make sense since they are putting a considerately large amount of money into DCA. When is Phase One planned to be complete?

After all those years of us DL people being jealous of WDW, getting 4 parks and tons more publicity, IMO, it's time for us to have the spotlight, no? :)

Not bad. Also, just for clarification EPCOT fans Soarin' Over The World is planned for 2013. And yes, DL fans deserve the spotlight.

($1,000,000,000 for a theme park
$1 for SM and SSE combined.)

Just saw an advertisement fir Stiches Great Escape coming to DL TL 2010.

 Honestly, what would they add to the Innoventions building to make it better? Would they bring back CoP or maybe a new thrill ride?

Also, here's an idea. Move Star Tours to DCA to feature a whole Star Wars themed land over there and bring M:S to the current spot.

No I don't want to lose COP it ours now!!!

Now that my temper tantrum is over there were rumors that the COP in WDW would be replaced by an Incredibles attraction.

I like your idea add on to the building with MS and use the current building as a space pavillion. You could theme it to be a space port or station!
