Maybe it's just me, but I've read a couple of threads recently where one person is disappointed about the weather, and another person is disappointed about the crowds.....I wanted to put my answer in but I saw one OP asking one person not to be so rude....So I didn't..However when we plan our 14 day vacation. We do not worry about the weather..We do not worry about crowds..If the skies open up..Let it be..If there's South American tour groups everywhere..So be it..:)....I feel lucky enough to get to be at a place where others only dream about going..So what's your take on this.?..Do you let certain things get you down, or do you just get on with having a magical time..:joyfull:...P.S. If any of the OP,s read this, please this is not a dig at yourselfs, I'am only interested how other people react to things that they hadn't planned on...Cheers..

I would be so mad if it rained. How dare Disney allow it to rain in Florida. If it is raining at WDW, just go to Uni, I think they have the weather contract now, got it during the negotiations with J.K. Rowling.

In all honesty, crowds do matter to me, but there are ways to avoid, or at least marginalize them. Of course, some people can't go except certain times of the year. The same times that are the only times others can go, so there will be crowds. Some days are more crowded in the parks than other days. Some weeks more crowded than others. You can plan around them if your schedule allows. If it doesn't allow, you can still have a great time.

Things happen and it's unavoidable. We never let things get us down or complain. And now we don't travel to the world with anyone else because they can't seem to be able to do this even when I explain my simple rule-No complaining about anything in Disney, go and make the best if it!
I mean Disney is going out of there way to make you Rice Dream ice cream-why complain about how long it takes the entire time we are eating? And if you complain everyday about someone stepping on your toes why wear sandals? The rain makes for way shorter lines, go enjoy it while you can!

I did read the threads you mentioned and I didn't post a reply for the same reason. Honestly, I don't care. The crowds might bother me a bit but they are manageable. Its Disney! Just sit back and relax. You paid to enjoy yourself so enjoy!
Ah come on, if you try hard enough you can find lots to complain about, even the weather.

We have been very fortunate to be able to go to Disney at least once a year since we were married 20 years ago. We were also fortunate enough for my Mom to live in Altamonte Springs, FL for many of those years, making the trips more justifiable. ;) We have seen the whole spectrum of crowds from spring break/easter/christmas to the months following 9/11. We've seen rain/hurricanes(Ivan) and the dreaded tour groups in every eye blinding color imaginable.. One thing remains constant through it all.. We always appreciate the fact that we are able to be there and enjoy something we both love to do. It's been even better since our son was born and being able to see the excitement in his eyes everytime we go. He is our little souvenier from our Oct 5, 2005 F&W Fest trip, and was born on July 5, 2006.. :) How I wish we could once again enjoy a few Kungalooshes.... Which, by the way, was a great way to get out of the rain!!

I learned long ago not to worry about the things I can't control. What I can do is adapt to the situation I am presented with and that is what I do. I am there to have a good time.

I was wishing for some rain on my September trip and wishing for some more for my October trip. It tends to empty the queues and the parks. Plus, it doesn't usually rain all day, every day...so I make adjustments where they need to be made. As for crowds, I get PH and now I have AP, I change parks or come back later if it gets too crowded. Sometimes, we just sit and watch the crowds...that can be just as entertaining...especially when mom is stressed because it's her first visit and she's trying to look around and not watch junior...then junior suddenly stops in front of her while he's looking at something...she almost trips over him...and blames the 4-year old for being a 4-year old...meanwhile dad is muttering 'happiest place on Earth, my @$$'...
