Planning to go last week of Feb 2007 fro 3 weeks?

after much thought and deliberation we have decided to go the last week of febuary into march 2007 for 3 weeks for a holiday of a lifetime, it will be my girlfriends first vist!

before i book it, can anyone give me a good reason why or why i shouldnt go that time of year? i could go the first 3 weeks in march? we will be flying from the UK and any advise will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Other than that being listed as Peak Season, I can not think of anything else. I have never been in that time. I have been in early-mid February and it was great.

Money wise yes, crowd wise I am not sure what it is like late Feb to March but since it is Peak Season I would guess it is crowded. Hopefully others will comment on the crowds, etc.

Using a Value Resort for an Example:
The Value Season ends on 2/15/2007 and goes to Peak Season on 2/16/2007 (a $36 room rate increase/night)

We went two years ago in February and checked in the last day of Value Season and rolled into Peak season and saved a lot of money. But the following weekend was Presidents Day Weekend and it seemed unusually crowded)

As far as water parks I believe one is always open (I think?:veryconfu )
And the weather was great at that time of the year.

That's correct about the water parks. They close them one at a time during winter months, so there is always one open. If you check on the official site, you should find the dates that each is closed.

Another thing to consider...

Not sure when it starts, but doesn't spring break start around that time?

I don't know if you'd want to be there for that.

i dont think we would like to be their then, does anyone out their know when spring break is? coming from the UK i havent got a clue?

The only problem is presidents week, it can be VERY crowded during this week because most schools have that week off, or at the very least a long weekend from it. Presidents day is Feb.19th, so the crowds begin that weekend. We love going to WDW in Feb. but, we always go the week before presidents week, 1) it's value season 2) it's not nearly as crowded 3) the weather is usually pretty good(especially compared to New Jersey in Feb. BRRRRR)
Just remember to pack for both kinds of weather because we have had 80+ degree days and we have had 50 degree days and it can get colder, plus the nights can be really cold(30's or 40's). Also, still bring your swimsuit, my kids can usually use the poll most of the days we are there!
You may want to check out the Pirates and Princesses Party too, it's not just for kids. Hubby and i went to WDW in Oct. without the kids and did the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party with some of our family members (no kids unless you count the fact that my sis was 6 months pregnant at the time). We had a blast!
