Planning Thanksgiving Weekend

I've been a long time reader of the boards, new member though.
My family just planned a trip for 4 to WDW for Thanksgiving Weekend and I was curious if anyone knew if the Castle Dream Lights will be on at all during that time, I'm trying to plan which days we will be in each park but there's so many things I want to do I'm having a hard time making decisions. This will be my first time to WDW in 15 years and I'm so excited.
Also does anyone have any idea which parks will be the least crowded on Thanksgiving and the following day, I'm trying to make the most out of the time we have there.
Thanks :)

Yes, the castle lights should be on. As far as what day will be best, it's all going to be pretty crowded the entire weekend. Just plan on long waits and lots of people.

Do the lights start on Thanksgiving? We arrive the day before Thanksgiving so we might be better off catching them that night if they are on.
Also, I'm assuming AK is more of a half day park than the others is this correct?

Get as much done as you can before Thanksgiving Day itself.
Starting on the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day, the parks will be much more crowded. People, including locals, seem to finish their Thanksgiving meal and then head for the parks.

All the Christmas decorations should officially be in place the day after Thanksgiving.

Have fun.

I will be ther from Sat. Nov 29th until Sat Dec 6th.
I understand that the parks will be very busy for the first weekend of my trip and die down on the Monday following Thanksgiving. I gotta guess that the Magic Kingdom will be a mad house for the 29th and 30th. Btw a niece has decided to join in on our trip last minute and I cannot get her added into 1 adr... Not 1 the entire week.

I headd down the day after Thanksgiving and stay for 2 weeks and i have been doing it for about 3 years now. I have found that Saturday after thanksgiving isn't too bad except for MK which is still a little insane. After that day everyone heads home and the parks are usually the least crowded for at least 2 weeks. Never stayed there during Thanksgiving but I am guessing it is pretty crazy.:xmas: the Christmas stuff is out after Thanksgiving too....great place to get you in the mood for XMAS!

Thanks....I am planning on going right after Thanksgiving 2009 and was wondering what happens crowdwise on the Monday and first week in December. Sounds like its pretty darn slow once you make it past Thanksgiving Sunday.
