Planning on booking a moderate, suggestions?

So I am trying to put together a trip for next February at a moderate resort, which one I am having trouble deciding. At first I was swinging towards CBR but after reading a few posts and noting bed size I changed my mind to CSR, but now I am reading so many good things about POFQ. Could anyone share some recent insight as to which one you think is best taking the following into consideration?

-Walking to/from bus stops and food courts (i understand this is long at all of them but I would like to minimize this as much as possible. Last year we were in a garden room at contemp and I would like to not have to go through that again.)

-Quality of food at resort (quick service) (also is it available late at night?)

-Transportation - as we will be riding the bus most of the time at all of these resorts, I would like one that minimizes the number of line changes/intermediate stops as much as possible.

Given those 3 things, is there one that still comes out on top? Price is pretty much the same for all of them and those things above are at the top of my list for importance.

Thanks!

You cant go wrong with POFQ, its small and compact. Walking the resort is no problem. There is only ONE bus stop(During slow times you may have to swing through POR that adds about 10 minutes on travel time).
Boat service to DTD. Food court is open late.

I have stayed at Coronado and Caribbean (many times here) and I like them both. The food at Coronado was better and we thought the transportation was better too. Both have a great atmosphere.

If staying at Coronado request Casita (close to a bust stop and the main building)

If at Caribbean request Martinique, Trinidad One (North) or even Jamaica

Port Orleans FQ or Riverside hasn't ever appealed to me but my sister in law stayed at FQ (their first time staying on site) and they really liked it.

I would go with CSR. I have stayed at all of the moderates and I think this may be my new favorite. The reason being the queen beds and their food court. I love both. Riverside was my favorite for years but after having stayed at CSR the past couple of times I have gone to WDW I think I liek it better. You can request a room closest to the main lobby/bus. We were close to the main pool the last 2 times we stayed there and while we did walk to the front of the resort there was another bus stop located right near where we were staying so it was very convenient for us.

Good luck in choosing!

Thanks for all the input, this is becoming quite the difficult decision, but from what it looks like I can't go too wrong with one or the other.

From what I am reading, it appears PO has 2 double beds in standard rooms, as opposed to CSR's 2 queen, is that correct?

Also, I see various comments about CSR's food court, that you have to pay for a card, and other things. Is this true? I only have experience with the contemporary cafe's system, which I liked a lot (those flatbread pizzas were great :slurp:).

You get a card when you stop at the podium on the way in and then you go to each service area and if you order food from one of the areas such as pizza they then stamp the card with a pizza stamp so when you go to leave through where the cashiers are they know what you have purchased. They also put a 10% (if I remembre correctly) service fee on the bill. You are seated and a table and a waitress will bring you your drinks, refills, condiments, etc. I only have experience with the contemporary cafe's system, which I liked a lot (those flatbread pizzas were great :slurp:).

If I was given the option for free it would be a toss up between Riverside, and CSR..CSR might win out because I stayed at Riverside before.

I'm going to have to vote for POFQ all the way.

Although we did end up with 2 beds instead of the one queen we requested. They did put us next to the lobby and food court and we could not have been happier with the quiet and small atmosphere of the resort.

I stayed at POFQ last christmas and had a wonderful time with my family. If one of your main concerns is the distance to the bus stop I would go with this resort. The food court was vary good for breakfast, we ate there every morning. I cant comment to the quality of lunch and dinner, but if breakfast was any indication than it will be pretty good. Also, the sit down restaurant, Boatright's Dining Hall, is just a short hop away at Riverside. Last, when I was there the week leading to Christmas day, we never had to share a bus.

Another vote for POFQ. As has already been stated, small so little walking, easy bus, decent food court, great theming. Only drawback is no sit down restaurant, but you're a only short distance from POR and Boatwrights.

We have only stayed at the CSR (we'll be there in 10 days for our 8th stay). However, we have visited the POFQ many times and it would be our back-up moderate if CSR were not available. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.
