Would your rather go in November, when crowds are a little higher but the weather is nice or in August when the crowd levels are at their lowest but the weather is really hot?

November for sure. If the weather is nice, I can put up with about anything. When the weather is miserably hot, I get cranky and the littlest things will bother me - especially crowds.

November....but we are actually going in Aug since we're working around someone else's schedule. Did it last year for the same reason, and nearly melted from the heat and humidity, and I live in SC! Swore I'd never go in Aug again, yet here I am....🤪

November - I was able to hit the last weekend of Food & Wine (wife requirement) and one of the first Christmas parties of the season (mother requirement) last year. Plus, the weather was amazing. And not only is August hot (which we can deal with, as it isn't much different than Houston), but you're also in peak hurricane season.
