Planning a trip for 2? wdw

I am currently debating on planning a trip this fall for me, and my DH.

I am curious as to how many of you guys have booked for this fall, and what you average the total cost of the trip to reach?
Also, what budget saving plans do you have in store? How are you saving for it? What deals, or codes did you utilize in your trip planning?

Just curious what everyone is doing to save a penny, and how long you typically stay at the world, and which resorts?

We are going late September and have been able to take advantage of the free dining promotion. We've always stayed at a value resort (Pop Century is our favorite) but this year we are staying at POFQ. We ususally stay anywhere from 7 to 9 nights.

We have a separate savings account that we have money direct deposited into from my husbands paycheck. This account is at a different bank from where we do our normal banking. We do not have a debit or atm card for this account and it's not convenient for us to go to. This makes it alot harder for us to "sneak" into it! It's set aside strictly for vacation! I also try to save back a little cash on the side that I keep just for spending money to have while we're there!

Hope that Helps! I know if you decide to go you'll have a great time!

Dates are September 18-23 so 5 nights 6 days for DW and I. The package consists of Coronado Springs with king bed water view. Park hopper passes basic dining plan and airfair. Rounded up price is $2500. Plus we have spending money of about $1000. As of March 27 the price will go up though because of the hotel deal of 30%. It is right on Disny's web page under the Special Offers tab.

We are going late Sept. Staying at Pop for 7 nights, park hopper, free dining. We bought our plane tickets on Jan. 1 for 158 each RT. Total was under 2,000.

My boyfriend and I are going Agust 19th to 24th, so a little less than a week. We are staying at POFQ and taking advantage of the Free Dining promo that was offered in the last few months of 2010. That is for sure saving us a lot, because we like to eat :)
Ever since booking the trip, we've each been putting 75 a paycheck into a joint online savings account with ING. This keeps us from tapping into this money for other things. Also, for Christmas, we asked for Disney gift cards which gives us a little extra spending money.
Flights were much more expensive than we had budgeted for months back, so I took advantage of a Southwest promo for two free roundtrip flights when you open a credit card.
I'd say we've gotten pretty lucky with all the deals we acquired and I'm proud of us for being able to save as well as we have. We're in our mid-twenties and I'm paying off massive student loans and my BF is still in school so not bringing in a big paycheck just yet. We started saving in September and we just about have all the money we'll need for the trip :)

Going the middle of September for a week, splitting between three nights at Sports and 4 nights at a cabin in FW. Saved a bundle with the pin code I got by e-mail but the booking period for that promo was up last month. We set aside a portion of our checks to a vacation account, always pay cash for our needs and put off our wants. Besides, all we really want is a vacation to WDW anyway!

we are booked for the end of August, beginning of Sept and we booked when Disney offered free dinind last year! That is saving us a fortune! Right now as far as offers go for the fall looks like they are offering a room discount thru dates in October.

I'm gonna give you my numbers as if it were just DH and myself:
9/28-10/10 - 12 nights 13 days, @ Coronado Springs, Park hoppers and free dining (booked last Oct.)
Total 3055, flights we got back in January, 440 round trip.
about 1000$ for extra spending (we have about 100 already racked up from our Disney Visa Card points) so total, for 2 of us would be about 4500 Total.
We booked back in October, and had the trip and flights paid off by mid Feb. I put every extra dollar of our checks to the trip, We hardly go out to eat, and whenever we think of it, we put about 20$ into our disney jar and we cook in instead and use what we would have on dinner on our trip. We collect our change, as well as throwing 1's 5's 10's and an occasional 20 in there to surprise us when we cash it in! I also put a pretty decent chunk of money towards my companies stock every paycheck, and the company matches 15% so even if stock goes down, I most likely wouldnt lose anything, and I just use it as my saving account! Now that I am thinking about it, I think I will cash in our full change jar and buy a Disney gift card with it so we can start over! once the jar is pretty full I am less motivated to put stuff in it...
