Planes

Maybe I am late to the table, but I see Disney is coming out with the Cars spin off this summer. I read somewhere that this will be the first of a trilogy (not sure how accurate that is). A find a few things interesting with this: Pixar is not doing it and Disney Toon Studios is. Since Cars was a cash cow why not make Planes, Boats will probably be next. There is talk of a trilogy.

My initial reaction was disappointing because its not very creative but hopefully with time my thoughts will change.

IMDB say in theaters August 9th...I would imagine it would be in theaters, Im sure it will make $$$$$

That's how it started but it is now a theatrical release with a bunch of the cast replaced.

As far as a follow-up to Planes, why wouldn't they do "Boats" next. They already introduced the idea in the opening scene of "Cars 2".

I think it looks pretty good, but yet again, I am a CARS fan.

This is just a cash grab they know it will make some decent money but overall a horrible film. If it is anything like cars it will be a bad movie.

My 4 year old has never asked how long he would have to wait to see a movie until he saw the trailer for Planes. Yes, our house is excited!
