I'm 23 and looking for some place fun to go out after the parks close. I know there is downtown Disney or w/e but I thought a lot of those bars closed?

If there are any other young people on here who can give some advice (or people of any age), I would really appreciate it. Gotta keep the buzz going after Drinking Around the World:)

Thanks.

Yeah, good luck with that.

My best suggestions are Jellyrolls or Big River at Boardwalk, the Wave at the Contemporary, or the lounge at Port Orleans French Quarter.

Jellyrolls is my recommendation. Fun atmosphere, good drinks, and really talented piano players.

Atlantic Dance Hall is occasionally open late, but it's a towny place. Which is a shame, because after a drink or two, I love to dance.

Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance Hall, or Belle Vue Lounge depending on the desired atmosphere and volume level. All of them are on the Boardwalk within stumbling distance of World Showcase. :)

If this (drinking) is your priority, then your best bet is to look outside of Disney property.

I like Paradiso 37, but the drinks can be overpriced, and like many Disney restaurants and bars, they probably won't stay open for as late as you'd like. :(

I was concerned about the same issue before my last trip. Unfortunately, we were so exhausted at the end of each day, we never really got to experience much in the way of nightlife! We stayed at CSR and Rix Lounge looked pretty cool. Very dark with mood lighting - basically lounge-ish. We also had a few drinks at Victoria Falls at AKL, which was gorgeous!

I don't know what your style is, but I prefer to drink at my resort because if you over-do it, at least you're close to your room. Most of the resorts seem to have some kind of bar or lounge, so check out what's available where you're staying. Have fun!!

I was thinking about this on my last trip too. Most of the time I was too exahusted to go out but there were a few nights where I was wide awake when the rest of my party was asleep. We stayed at Coronado, and the rix lounge (which someone had mentioned before) was an awesome bar. It had really cool decor, swing benches in the back, popular music but it closed at midnight the nights I was there because there was about 3 people in the bar. I don't think your going to find stuff open much later then that or at least I didn't. If you do find a good place please let me know for the future.

Jellyrolls is open until 2, but it's obviously a very different environment than Rix Lounge.

Yeah I hear ya. I was too tired when I went last year also. Gonna try and rally a bit this year though I guess. I'll definitely let you know if I find any good places. Thanks for the advice...

I'm 23 and Jellyrolls is my absolute favorite place to drink and have fun. But then again I'm more of a sitdown and singalong type person than I am a getupanddanceinaclub type person.

I'm around the same age as you and Jellyrolls is one of the top "to do" things on my list. I'm more of a sit back and enjoy the music while having a jolly time person however. Also, I live in a Jersey Shore town so actually having the option of going to a bar where you aren't obligated to be constantly moving and dancing is a vacation in itself.

Hahaha I'm completely with you on that. Looks like I'll have to check it out.

The ESPN club is almost a given for me after drinking around the world.

I forgot about that one. I'm not a big fan of the ultimate-sports-bar aesthetic they've got going (and the food isn't that good) but it IS open pretty late.

Hmm, never realized until this thread that Boardwalk is the new nightlife hotspot!
