Place to watch the Oscars

I am new to this group, and hope that I am placing this in the right place...

We will be in Walt Disney World during the academy awards this year. Does anyone know if there is an Oscar party anywhere on property? If not, I would love suggestions for where to watch them.

Don't know if there would be any parties. You can probably watch it at your hotel on your TV, though.

While I don't know of any oscar-watching parties, I would bet a shiny nickel that, if you're staying on property, the lounge of the resort you'll be staying will have a TV tuned in to the show, and enough people will be paying attention that it will be a party of sorts. And if your resort in particular doesn't have a relaxing resort with TVs, visit one that does. For example, if you're staying at a Value, you could always take a bus to MK, then visit the lounges at any of the monorail resorts. Have fun, and welcome to the boards.

Actually, I was hoping that combining the magic would create a giant cloud of fairy dust that would end all war, hunger, and bad jokes.

Hey, everyone has a different idea of vacation. :lol:

I used to plan my schedule around the oscars myself... until Wall-E and Dark Knight were both snubbed the Best Picture nomination a few years back. I sort of lost patience with them then.

But Magoo's suggestion sounds great! I can easily imagine something like that happening in a hotel common area somewhere.

Toy Story 3 is nominated this year, and I am hoping that there will be a little cheering section.
