Does anyone else think they could have done a better job with the backdrop? This is 2008, and instead of a plastic CG screen-capture, they could have probably used a giant screen. Oh, but for budget.

Please tell me they aren't tearing down Mickey & Minnie's houses! I love going through their homes!! Just where in ToonTown is Pixie Hollow going to be? Any clue on the layout?

Pixie Hollow will be located in the Hall of Fame. They will be re-working the current que and make two lines. One will be for the Fairies, and one will be for the Princesses.

The old wood walls and pictures will be gone. They are changing the que configuration completely and it will look really nice. The shrinking hallway is coming together well too.

I know the houses are really old, but it has special memories for me when we took my son for the first time. I'm glad they are not destroying the houses! Thanks for the info.

I thought the fairies were going into Hall of Fame where the pals used to be? Its my understanding that Judge's tent isn't changing at all.

Those fairies are way too tall! Ugh! They just look like princesses not fairies.

You are right, I had a blond moment and said Judges tent when I meant the Hall of Fame.

Missed Opportunity: - The Fantasyland Skyway area would have made a great Pixie Hollow.
- Slightly used existing heavily themed building
- Water features
- Existing Queue lines in / out
- Photogenic location

vs

Jammed into a 20 year old vinyl tent, sharing space with some primadonna princesses:animwink:...mmm boy exciting!

I agree...very odd location. This looks like it'll be better executed at Disneyland.

And if those decorations are anywhere besides the Magic Kingdom, I'll scream. I'm imagining them at Epcot...grrrr...

I think the Fairies are super cute and I'm actually really excited to meet them. I've always like Tinker Bell tho. I do agree that they could have put them anywhere else but the Hall of Fame. Like mentioned above the old Skyway building would be perfect.

I can't believe that they are actually going forward with this...

What are they thinking? And, no, it can't be money. I just can't imagine a huge number of kids wanting to care about this ...

From the concept art it looks like there will only be 3 fairies out at a time. I would assume that if you want to see the other 2 you will have to get back in line.

the other two will be in "back rooms" as a test for Disney's new "boutique" park idea--this is what came of "Night Kingdom"........

Yikes, after seeing the video all I can say is I felt sorry for the girls playing the fairies.

Not to mention how balatently PC the fairies are. There's an oriental one, a black one, etc. :hurl:

I'm going to have to double check but I think at least two or three of these girls are close with my friend. She is also "friends with" several face characters... I'd almost be embarassed to ask considering this would be quite a step down (for the ego) from the characters they've previously been "friends with."

Then again, girls with hurt egos have Scar Junior written all over them... :lookaroun
