Pixar's Dinosaur Film To Be Titled Frozen

As 2011 winds down, Walt Disney Pictures is looking towards the future and two of its major releases in both 2013 and 2014. First up is the dinosaur themed project from Pixar, which has just been given the title Frozen.

First announced earlier this year, the film will be directed by Bob Peterson and produced by John Walker. It is said to ask the question, "What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?"

Frozen is scheduled for release on November 27, 2013.

Meanwhile, Marvel Studios is bumping up one of their untitled 2014 films, moving the project from June 27th to April 4th. They'll still have another project arriving on May 16th and speculation suggests that one of these two will likely be a sequel to this year's Captain America: The First Avenger.

Disney Animation Schedules Frozen For November 2013

UPDATE: Earlier today, we incorrectly reported that Frozen was the title of the Pixar's Untitled Dinosaur Film. It is, in fact, a brand new project and the story has since been corrected.


As 2011 winds down, Walt Disney Pictures is looking towards the future and two of its major releases in both 2013 and 2014. First up is a new project from Disney Animation called Frozen, taking over the release date of Pixar's Untitled Dinosaur Film. That film is currently without an announced release date.

Details of Frozen are currently unknown, but it will hit theaters in 3D on November 27, 2013.
