The Telegraph is reporting that Pixar will meet Monday to finalize a $7 billion takeover by Disney. The deal, which will be made entirely in shares, will make Steve Jobs the largest shareholder in Disney. This is the beginning of major things not only for Disney, but the movie industry as well as Apple, its online content biz, and the Macintosh. Not a bad payoff for an initial $10 million investment. Congratulations, Mr. Jobs!
Steve Jobs now has the most shares... NOT a mayority of shares... :lookarounMr D said:Its official, Pixar just bought Disney for 7 Billion, Steve Jobs is the majority shareholder and has full reign of Disney.
Its a fact if you look at it from another view.
John Lasseter will be Chief Creative Officer of the animation studios, as well as Principal Creative Advisor at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he will provide his expertise in the design of new attractions for Disney theme parks around the world, reporting directly to Iger.
