Pittsburgh Arts Festival and Fort Pitt

Yeah, they leveled Three Rivers Stadium. The Pirates have their own dedicated stadium (its beautiful!- PNC Park) and the Steelers have theirs (Heinz Field- equally well done, but I'm smitten with the Pirates stadium)

Pittsburgh in the 80s was a rough time, so you didn't miss much from what I understand.

The next bright and sunny day... if it ever happens again... I'll grab some more downtown shots :)
I dont know if I'm lucky or not, but like I told you before, I had mostly sunny perfect days.. at most 30 mins of rain when I visited Pitt.... and I went a few times!

Art Festival purchases! Sorry this has taken a while, life tends to get in the way of photography :)

This is a print of a colored pencil only drawing!

Oil on acyrlic, print

The guy who makes these... Sean, he makes them with his fingers and one tool only. They're amazing little sculptures. Airbrushed, after baked

wine stopper, because we have priorities in life

Mixed media, print

Acrylic on paper, print

I think these were oil on canvas and scaled down to card size (all I could afford, the original was like $1700!) but honestly not sure, they might be acrylic on canvas

I'm a big fan of business card art... plus, these guys had fantastic work but I couldnt afford it :(

Oh my! I new I was forgetting something...!!!
Sorry it took me so long to get over here...I'll just blame it on my age...! ;) :)

Thanks again for the history, pics, and art picks as well. Great stuff! Love it all! :)
The first one, especially, piqued my interest...I used to love to work with Prismacolor colored pencils over Prismacolor markers. So much fun!
Anyway, thanks again! :)
