The E! footage was a bit longer and showed all the changes. If anyone knows how to hook up a dvr to a computer I have it..

Wow, E! had a 2+ hoour show too? I'll have to look for that, but I'm sure it didn't have Jason Surrell so it couldn't have been as good. :-)

The E! show was pretty much worthless. Not even any behind the scenes footage of the movie. It was all celebrities kissing each others butts. They even mistakenly said that the red carpet was 3 miles in length. It's not 3 miles from Main Steet USA to Rivers of America. The only thing good was the ride preview, even though it was brief. The Davy Jones effect looked amazing. I can't wait to see our version open up in WDW.

They built the screen floating on the Rivers of America, around New Orleans Square and Tom Sawyers Island, and they put up bleechers on the ground around the lake.

There are better pics taken found on other sites, but I took these myself over the weekend when I was there.

Does anyone know where in Disneyland they were actually watching the movie?

The link below has three pictures from the 2003 Premiere at Disneyland, and the last picture offers an EXCELLENT view of how this whole thing came together with the bleachers, the screen, and even the Columbia that sailed out and brought the main stars of the movie into the Premiere. The setup in 2006 was nearly identical, although this time the big screen got some pirate-y decorations around it.

It's the last of the three pictures on this webpage.

I was surprised by how big the whole event was. The last premier was simply a big premier at Disneyland, but this one felt like a HUGE event. E, and MSN giving broadcasts, huge turnout of fans, the works. I was also amazed by the huge celebrity attendance. Martain Landau, James Cameron, The Governator, Marelyn Manson, Jon Voight, just wow!

It's amazing what a quality film with quality actors can do.:)
