I have a question when I was younger I dreaded having to go on Pirates. Does it have a drop? if so how big. I don't know why I ddn't like it it just scared me(the same thing happened to me with the JUngle cruise because one of the first time I went on the CM said, joking of course, that anyone who didn't laugh at his jokes would get throne off the boat I fake laughed the whole time), I love the jungle cruise now but I've never gotten up the courage to go on POTC again, I love the one at DL though. Are they practically the same? I know that one has drops.

POTC in WDW has a couple of small drops, nothing dramatic. I think it may have affected you, because it's done in the dark. I love this ride!

There are drops in PoTC?

Honestly, I never noticed. And believe me, I am the biggest weenie there is.

I won't do Tower of Terror
I won't do Rock 'n Roller Coaster
I won't do Splash Mountain

...all because of I hate falling.

You should be fine.

I agree, you were probably frightened because of the dark.

just get a cam corder with night vision and as to sit in the front and you can see where your going, thats what i did last time, most of the new sonys have it, when i capture the footage i'll put it online.

I did that two years ago just to tape the attraction. It was actually pretty neat to see the drop. The only problem is when I went back to see it all you can see is my fingers covering the lens so it did not get wet. ----As for the drop I think you would fall further if you fell out of bed.

WDWs PotC has only one drop. it comes where the ride has to go under the RR tracks to the show building on the other side of the RR tracks. As you approch the drop it gets windy and you hear rushing water,there is a skull and crossbones that says to beware rough seas ahead, (something close to that), and then the drop, it's about 8 feet I am gussing and as steep as some flume rides like SM.
