If Disney ever builds another park and is looking for a new way to interpret Pirates Of The Caribbean, I have an amazing ride concept. For some reason it just seems so logical that I feel like someone has already thought of it before. But anyways, here's my idea:
Think Revenge of the Mummy, Pirates of the Caribbean style. The ride will be a watercoaster. Listen on iTunes or something to the POTC3 movie soundtrack, and look at the song titled "Drink Up Me Hearties Yo Ho" It has the perfect rhythm for an attraction like this, and it's what I have in mind when thinking of this ride idea. Anyways, You board the boat and the ride begins in pitch black, and you go down a small drop into the POTC world. Like the original ride at WDW you slowly make your way through a scene of pirates (Jack Sparrow and the gang included) and suddenly you begin to pick up speed. Davey Jones is back, and It seems that the Flying Dutchman has arrived and they're after your boat! The ride is no longer the slow old fashioned POTC like before, you begin bobbing up and down as if waves are crashing against your boat, and things start getting nasty. Jack Sparrow is here to help get you out of there, but it's not gonna be easy. You then launch into the rollercoaster portion of the ride, action-packed with sudden twists and turns and drops accompanied with some stunning special effects (water, fire, lazers, lights, you name it) (this all goes to the beat of that music I was talking about earlier, it works out perfectly) and it ultimately ends in a splashdown back to where you started in that perfect Pirates of the Caribbean atmosphere. With the help of Jack Sparrow, you are lead to safety at the port and have sucessfully escaped Davey Jones and the Flying Dutchman.
Yeah, it might seem like I have a bizzarre imagination but it sounds perfectly clear in my head...
