Did anyone happen to catch the soap Passions today? This soap, while not on a par with, say All My Children or General Hospital, it is known for its movie send ups. It has taken on famous horror movies, Titanic and even The Wizard of Oz. Well, today, they hit upon PotC!

Luis, who is our hunk of a hero :slurp: is in love with the lovely Sheridan. According to the story line, Luis and Sheridan have been in love in past lives, including ancient Egypt and even on the Titanic.

Anyhow, in this latest past life of our favorite lovers, Sheridan was "Patience", the Governors daughter, and Luis was "Harry", a pirate! Sheridans present husband, Antonio (also Luis's brother :eek: ) is her fiance who is intent on killing "Harry". Anyway, they have Luis all decked out in a very Captain Jack Sparrow outfit (complete with the eye makeup and let me tell you, hes as yummy as Johnny Depp is :lol: ) and "Patience" is in her big dress. The fiance chases them into this cave...where the skeletal undead pirates who are ALSO chasing "Harry" come out and fight with them! I laughed so hard because I just didnt expect it!

Now, Im starting to worry...what if the want to FIND NEMO next? :lol:

No offense.....but what is it with soap operas now?? They have demon posessions, witches, and now all this stuff? Good grief.

That would be Passions! :lol:

I dont know whats up with soaps now. I remember years ago when General Hospital had that whole weather machine story line, it was so far out. Now, it seems like all of them have some strange occurrances going on, like its the norm. Days had that twins thing and now the 'murders'. Just some very odd goings on. Maybe its for escapism? Passions plays it somewhat broadly at times. I will watch it on my lunch hour and just laugh out loud...and I sometimes change the channel because I just cant deal with it :lol: If not for a shirtless Luis on one of the first episodes, I probably would never even have watched the darned thing :slurp: :lol:
